Lord willing, I'll still be body building when I'm 80. I'm currently 70. I spend 2 hours a day 6 days a week in the gym.

Formal gym time is great. But how many steps are you walking every day outside of the gym? General daily movement is even more important.

@@ryandeffley7652 ,walking / Steps aren't important to me. My workout are intense heavy eeight and controlled . I also do a variety of full body stretching . I do 1 hour interval traing doing one minute walk one minute 9 mph for one hour on tge treadmill. Everything has been balance and awareness of my fitness. My goal has always been being in better physical condition every 10 years.

What people undervalue the most is daily general movement. I mean, even people who lift and do formal cardio wind up being sedentary.
People should be walking every single day year round and dividing at least 10-15K+ steps over the whole day. It should be a daily habit, just like brushing your teeth.

It's really unhealthy. Here is a list of what it causes.
Sitting can increase your risk of chronic health problems like heart disease, diabetes, and some cancers. It can also lead to obesity and metabolic syndrome, a cluster of conditions that includes high blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist, and unhealthy cholesterol levels. Sitting can also decrease blood flow to your legs, which can cause blood to pool and lead to varicose veins or spider veins. In rare cases, this can lead to more serious conditions like blood clots, such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
Mental health: Sitting for too long can also be bad for your mental health, and has been associated with poor executive function, memory, attention, and visuospatial skills.
Back pain: Sitting for long periods of time can also cause neck and lower back pain.
