Not really. It's hard to compare these to anything we've ever seen before. It's common for consumers to try and compare models from Nike and Adidas, but at the moment, they aren't really making shoes that are "equivalents". All of they're boots are quite a bit different from each other at the moment.

It's more so just something different, not necessarily better or worse. They also just came out, so I can't really give a strong opinion on what I even prefer at this point.
Hey Josh. I have a video idea. Could you do like an evolution of soccer cleats video? Since you have so many cleats I think you could do a very thorough awesome job. I guess you could maybe start from the release of the Copa or whatever you think would be appropriate.
Does this shoe look bulkier or rounder to anyone else or is it just me? The past gen hypervenoms seemed more narrow.
The shape is fairly similar, but the fit is a little different because the upper is now Flyknit. I really like the way these fit.
Is it possible for a stud to catch onto the fly wire and tear it?
If they're tied tightly, the cables are pressed against the boot, as you can see in the video. The actual opening in the Flywire for the laces to pass through are quite small, so a stud won't necessarily be able to get caught in the loop. With that said, I suppose it could still be possible. Given that the shoes just came out, it's really hard to say at this point. It must also be considered that Nike has used this kind of lacing system many times before on other shoes, just never on a soccer cleat.

It all depends on what type of fit and feel that you're looking for. They're all very different shoes.
The Nike Grid on the insole looks so tacky
is the kids boot as good? It does have acc and the flynit as it says on the side of the boot.
I don't have any first hand experience with them at this point, so I can't really comment on them. I will be bringing a pair in for review though. Stay tuned.

Personally have always been a Magista guy. wore the first generation and now currently wear the Obra 2. but I think this Hypervenom will be much better than even the first generation, since they involved the flyknit upper! I'd wait a few weeks. see if you can find them in stores on the 30th of Jan, and try em on!!
These just came out. I don't have enough time in them just yet to say that I prefer it over something else. I'm impressed with it so far, but that's about all I can say at this point.

All the technology that Nike has put in the boot is crazy and I want to try it out but I don't want to stop wearing superflys and so it's come to which one is the best of the two.

Nike has used this system plenty of times on shoes outside of soccer, so I'm fairly confident it should hold up fine.

Would you say the collar fits tighter than the phantom 2 collar? is the collar lose ?
I personally don't notice or feel the collar while I'm wearing the shoes. You can see how it fits me in the video. Depending on the shape of your ankle, the collar will fit differently.

I got a pair of these online and there seems to be some glue exposed between the inner black material and the outer flyknit material by the heel. Like I might be able to pull that black portion off if I tried. Is this normal?
I don't see why not if it's just excess material sticking out.
Do you think the sole plate of the Hypervenom Phantom 3 DF is better than the Mercurial Vapor 11 sole plate? I have trouble deciding which shoe to pick!
It's a matter of the two soleplates being very different from each other, rather than one being better than the other. What they've done with the mercurial soleplate is truly unique and it definitely enhances the responsiveness of the shoe. The Hypervenom soleplate is more of standard design in terms of the way it feels, but it's still very good. they're just two different things that offer something different.

I prefer the evoTOUCH Pro, although they're fairly different shoes in regards to fit and feel. I just prefer the fit, flexibility and stud pattern on the evoTOUCH.

They're not made to worn without laces. The laces play a huge part in the structural integrity, lockdown and responsiveness of the boot.

It's impossible to predict the durability of a shoe that just came out. Nobody has had them for more than a week.

They don't really compare to previous Hypervenoms. It's a complete redesign.

Hey josh, do you know where I can get soles that are similar to the Mercurial Superflys? Because the insoles on these are thicker and it makes my right cleat too tight.

It's a tighter fitting shoe, but it's isn't necessarily narrow.

They're not made for use on artificial grass. The durability would definitely be impacted. That's why they make an AG version.
On mine, the fly wire cables on the orange side of the very last lace holes (closest to the nike swoosh) are about an inch out. Is that something to be worried about
As long as the cables aren't broken, you should be fine.

I noticed that they don't have a small bladed stud at the tip of the toe box anymore near ur big toe like the phantom 1 and 2 sis, does that negatively affect the bite that the stud pattern gives u?
Not necessarily. It's really a completely different stud pattern that offers a much different feel.

This a very different type of application and feel in comparison to what Umbro has done. It's hard to compare these to anything else really.

They'll fit most people. That's something that you more or less have to use your own judgement on after trying them on. I couldn't really tell you how they'll feel for you.
