- Welcome back to Dan the Star Man! Today we gonna do a new installment of the segment "Reenacting Scenes of TV Shows & Movies". We're gonna doing a scene from Everybody Loves Raymond. We're gonna do a scene called "Robert's interview with FBI" scene from the episode called Lucky Suit. This is a scene where you see Robert having a job interview with the FBI and it doesn't go well when the agent was reading him an embarrassing fax from his mom Marie Barone. So we hope you enjoy the "Robert's interview with FBI" scene from Everybody Loves Raymond. As always here's a copy of the dialogue script so you can read along:
“(Robert sits down anxiously waiting for the interview to begin)
Robert: Foolish suit! (Talking to the suit) I detest you, I detest you, I detest you.
(Special Agent Garfield walks in and greets himself to Robert)
Agent Garfield: Morning!
Robert: Oh good morning!
Agent Garfield: Special agent Garfield.
Robert: I’m Luitenant Robert Barone!
Agent Garfield: Were you just saying something?
Robert: No I was just sitting here. Quietly!
Agent Garfield: Oh, so you didn’t just say “I detest you I detest you”?
Robert: Oh no!
Agent Garfield: Why don’t we get started?
Robert: Alrighty then!
(Both men sit down)
Robert: So is that my permanent record?
Agent Garfield: Yes!
(Agent Garfield opens the folder)
Agent Garfield: Let’s see! Nineteen years NYPD! No disciplinary actions! Eleven accommodations! Very nice!
Robert: Yes the accommodations are nice! But it’s really the job is its own reward.
Agent Garfield: Well that’s the kind of attitude we look for around here. It’s about teamwork! Being part of a team!
(Woman enters the office)
Woman: Here’s your water sir.
Robert: Thank you so much!
Woman: And this fax came in address to you agent!
Agent Garfield: Thank you!
Robert: So as I was saying….
Agent Garfield: Is this some kind of a joke?
Robert: Excuse me?
(Agent Garfield reads the fax he received and Robbie was embarrassed to hear it)
Agent Garfield: “Dear FBI Agent Garfield, I’m writing to ask for your understanding. You have an interview this morning with my son Robert Barone. I think you’ll Robert to be an exceptional candidate for the job. He’s hard-working, brave and handsome. But I feel I’ve hurt his chances somehow. You see, he has a lucky suit. And while I was ironing this morning, I ruined it. He was very upset so he might be a little distracted. Please don’t hold this against him. If anything, blame me. I don’t mind, I’m used to it. Of course it was also my other son Raymond Barone’s fault. He’s a famous sports-writer. Perhaps you’ve heard of him. But mostly I’m to blame. I only want Robert to look his best. Thank you for understanding. Sincerely, Marie Barone.”
(Robbie is still embarrassed by what he just heard)
Agent Garfield: “P.S.”
Robert: Oh my god!
(Garfield continues reading)
Agent Garfield: “Please tell Robert to make amends with me. I tried but it’ll mean more coming from you.” Please make amends with your mother.”
