The kind of agony people went through is heart wrenching. Respect to you, you have come out so stronger and understanding through it. Blessings from India! 🎊
Thank you for your testimony... And much respect to you in every single survivor that is able to speak about what happened for us to learn from.... Speaking from Pocahontas Arkansas...thanks 🙏
My goodness. Bunker would have been so horrible to get through. At least they had heard that the end of the war was near. Thank you for your testimony.
I was just in Amsterdam last week and visited the Anne Frank house. This video made me cry. I’m so happy you and your family survived 🙏🏽🙏🏽 God bless you and the family who helped you.
This is an excellent pedagogic tool. The museum is offering teachers as well as the general public a unique opportunity to learn this history. Thank you. (Retired professor of Holocaust Literature)
Thank you for sharing your story. It's so important to keep this reality alive as our new generations grow forward and some "deny" such evil ever happened. I'm 28 in California USA. Thank you for having this channel. Will be a faithful watcher/learner
Thank you for telling your story Sir. Thank you to the Holocaust Museum and its generous donors for this compelling, educational and inspiring series. The truth of history must be told and retold for the good of all.
What an amazing story of resilience and kindness of others !! Love hearing stories like this and thank you for sharing . You’re father was such an intelligent man with great instincts .
So grateful to hear stories where people did the right thing. The family that tried to live the ‘good Christian values’ is exactly how it’s supposed to be. Jesus would love everyone. My grandmother was 16 in Czechoslovakia and was catholic. Her family was verrry poor and she had to get a job as a nanny. It was for a Jewish family that was well to do (this is around 1938-1940 ish). She said the Jewish family she worked for took very good care of her. They treated her incredibly well as their nanny. They left because of the Nazis and when they were gone my grandmother new she had to go to. Turns out my grandmother had American citizenship, (her mother was pregnant with her when she was visiting the us and my grandmother being born on US soil had automatic citizenship. My great grandparents obviously went back to Czechoslovakia and raised their children. So when my grandmother was 16 and no longer had a job with the wonderful Jewish family she hopped on a boat and came to American herself, couldn’t speak English. I couldn’t imagine how hard that must have been. But, as a very devoted Catholic that she was I loved hearing how she had such warm feelings for the Jewish family she worked for. I’m so glad she told me when I was young so I could appreciate all people. It’s about the goodness in your heart not what religion. (Makes me mad that some Christian’s twist what Jesus teachings were, Jesus was Jewish and never said to not be Jewish. God bless everyone who reads this. God bless people of different religions reaching out to understand each other and loving one another.
Thank you for sharing your story. It’s so important. I love listening to the first persons, they are each so touching, and inspiring. I’m slowly making my way through them all. I have 161 in my playlist.
Watching this important program once again. These testimonies are so important as in a few years there will no longer be survivors with us. I have directed 2 plays connected with the holocaust. One “Address Unknown” and also “ The Will” Both in Hebrew in Israel.
I see the pictures of these precious children and wonder how anyone could ever see them as a threat and treat them so cruelly. It is beyond comprehension.
Thank you Sir, it is so brave of you to do this but so necessary. What terror your poor mother must have felt. Giving birth in such conditions and worrying on how to keep your baby safe. What a beautiful family photo, so precious to have. So sad and just so unnecessary. How man can become so inhuman is unbelievable but it still goes on today. G-D bless you sir and your family 🙏🙏🙏🙏👵👵👵🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
This man is so inspiring, in his understanding of people, in his hope and work
