Most people aren't willing to spend hundreds of dollars to get all the pieces for a specific team comp. 100% crit rate on an attack is cope when her best sets are giving her crit rate, that's directly contradictory to the info we already guaranteed know. Crit damage makes much more sense, yes.
the mydei + castorice leaks make sense genuinely speaking when you look at the upcoming healer planar. two characters who drain an insane amount of health, and a set that requires an insane amount of spd to keep up with it
But Mydei would be just as good as any other character if Castorice's kit will only count the health that she herself takes from the team and not jsut any damage in general. Which owuld be more logical.
Mydei needs to be the hypercarry DPS of the team. As long as Castorice doesn't have taunt in her kit, she can be an excellent sub DPS for Mydei and Blade, who need to lose a ton of HP.
@hdmaad i agree! as of right now, there's no leaks suggesting that she has a taunt in her kit, but that also doesn't mean much sense it seems for some reason leakers have been very iffy on releasing a full kit? I've heard that her talent is also leaked to put mydei in his vendetta state immediately as well, so that's interesting. i may be in the minority here, but I actually hope for the duel dps route.
Ngl just use Luocha. His stonks will skyrocket if that team becomes the premium meta team cuz he's one of the only healers that can easily overheal the entire team without spending any skill points (even if you do his skill heals a character for like 3k to 4k HP and that's without his signature and ATK rope)
Can pls everyone remember that REMEMBRANCE is a whole new PERMANENT PATH NOT JUST AMPHORIAS GIMMICK. I feel like many ppl forget that part or so does it look Sunday is created for summos and the remembrance engine in general not just for the few remembrance characters we will have in amphorias. And yes he might have some anti synergy with part of the remembrance engine but so does ruan mei with her break delay too And it is still quite early leaks we are still 3.0 and she is coming in 3.2 so devs very likely will make changes for her and do you remember how different was the Sunday animation leak description (i give it as example why leaks in general can be mile away from the actual thing) And even if u pulled Sunday, good news friends you have a future proof, op hyper carry support if not a cantoris support Also it was very early on said that 2 dps characters of amphorias will need one another to play the best so here u have that leak coming true, the fact it is a dual dps comp initiatialy means Sunday won't be BIS for it because he plays more in 1 main carry comp

Sunday is the most feature packed Support : for sure he will find a use with one or the other Remembrance DPS ! I think people are annoyed if that DPS is not Castorice because they care more for her & her best team than for him as a character, so it can feel like wasted jades
If castorice BIS is mydei with 2 healers then sunday is the biggest bait in hsr history. Everyone and their mother were saying that sunday will change remembrance completely
I doubt she’s gonna want two healers, pretty sure I saw a leak that said that castorice would do more dmg at low hp or something, and that fatal damage would kill the dragon instead of her so healers would be the opposite
When Sunday first release, people got baited thinking he might be like Ruan Mei, ok when first release but very strong in later updates, people got baited for thinking that. From another source I heard, I think Cathorice best team should be Castorice + Sunday + Tribbie + Luocha (until next 5 star abundance release), only reason why Sunday may not be better than RMC is because the energy regen thing will be wasted, but just like Ruan Mei, she also have a few buffs wasted when playing super break team, so Sunday is not the worst option, also pretty sure he buff the summons a lot more than RMC.
I feel like it would be Castorice that's the bait, if she needs another DPS to be good, she's not worth it. Sunday at least works well with normal DPS units as a better bronya. And works really well with Aglaea

im pretty sure the kit works like this: her memosprite's purpose is to drain the allies hp so it moves rly fast and that would make sense with why her "ult" is charged by the allies hp drain threshold. and once the requirement is met either her ult or skill is changed, although its questionable whether or not this work like mydei where you dont have an option to choose or like The Herta where you can save that charge for another turn. so having sunday in fact would improve her playstyle a lot if the memosprite mechanic does work like that.
Me, who pulled Sunday for Jing Yuan: ~ not bothered ~ Honestly though, I think Tribbie will shape up more gracefully since her whole thing is with AoE DPS units. And from the looks of it, Erudition units keep getting more and more value...
Erudition units finally meta after their 5th limited member and 2 years of existence. As a day 1 player, I'm happy to have used Argenti for AS and MoC for the first time since 1.5
Ain't no way ppl are thinking that ONLY sunday will be good for rememberance characters even when break characters arrived they launched not only one break support.
There were no break-focused characters prior to Ruan Mei except Xuyei, and she herself was mostly designed with Ruan Mei in mind since Ruan Mei came out one patch later. Himeko bacame the break unit only much later, prior to that she was considered a subdps and worked as one too, so she doesnt count. And sushang only benefit slightly from breaking the enemy, without doing majority of her dmg through break, so again, doesn't count

As far as I could deduce from your barely readable comment (no offence, not everyone(myself included) is a professional English user, and it's understandable) you said that break characters launched without any supports, which is not true, there was one and a really good one at that- Ruan Mei. Later, when firefly got released there was already harmony mc for her to use. And Boothill didn't really care either way, he could use bronya just as well as mc, if not better. Break as an archetype began first and foremost with the release of Xuyei and Ruan Mei, since prior to that break could not output ANY damage at all. 20k per enemy broken is a drop in the ocean even by those days standards. Gallagher augmented this team as a sustain who could output immense damage if used alongside the supports you would be using anyway. Then ling Sha became another sustain to fill that niche, and since Gallagher was already this good they made a direct upgrade of him and sold her really well. And then there's Fugue. She's basically a sidegrade to harmony MC, viable enough for you to be able to switch off harmony for the sake of more prominent in the meta remembrance MC who's a bis teammate for Herta and Aglaea teams right now and not feel uncomfortable leaving your break team. Fugue is straight up upgrade for Rappa and Boothill, better than MC due to them scaling better with break damage then superbreak, and good enough sidegrade for firefly(considering she can break firefly enemies with weakness already implanted as well, she is a good subdps too)
Well i will take it. Yeah it bad that i have Sunday and his best teamate is Aglaea. I already go all in to Therta and now RMC is better teamate with herta than Sunday. But what i said she turning out like this is alright, it make the game more versetile.
Yeah it’s sad but aglaea kit is just to compatible with sunday that it is hard to make another unit that may have to copy some ideas from her to pare with sunday But on the bright side it kind of interesting to me how the unique jingliu + blade 2.0 gonna perform

They are actually trying to make her a solo dps as well as introduce a duo dps comp. The problem with that is if not executed properly, her kit will be just touching both, but not good in neither.
People moan about her potentially not working amazingly with Sunday, and needing 3 premium units from almost back-to-back-to-back banners being "predatory," but the other possibility is much more interesting IMO. IF Castorice turns out to be functional in 2 totally different team types (one built around action advancing her & her memosprite, and one built around the chunkiest units for maximum HP drain), she has the potential to be the most F2P-friendly hypercarry in the history of the game. Having so many options, many of which people will already have by the time she releases, rather than 2-3 units being head and shoulders above the rest of her teammate options is something pretty exciting that we haven't really seen yet. I have doubts that they'll pull it off, but hey, it's possible?
Castorice not working with Sunday would be incredibily bozo of HSR. I'm not about to pull for a whole separate DPS just to make another one work, that's twice the investment for the same amount of reward. Additionally, I feel like this would make sales for Castorice particularly hard. If her BIS teammates are both premium, where the only 4 star that shares a gimmick with one of them is god damn Arlan, that's a red flag to most people already. Acheron, Feixiao and The Herta all have f2p accessible teams, so I'd imagine this info is a little on the harder side to believe. And lastly, there has been talk of Sunday having his rerun together with Castorice. HSR always reruns characters that synergize with the newest character, so this is already pretty strong info. "What if it's not true?" Who are they going to rerun? Blade? After Mydei? We also just had Huohuo and will most likely have Luocha with Mydei, so abundance is off the table. Make it make sense.

Regardless of the final kit, it'd probably work. Tho, there has been talk of a new 4 star abundance, so maybe Natasha/Gjallagher gets replaced by them if it ends up being true.
@@MassMen f2p people are also potential customers. There's nothing stopping a F2P from picking up their wallet to buy a character they actually enjoy. Finantially speaking, it's a dumb move. Casual spenders won't feel inclined to spend on a character that won't work if they require a character that'll need other limiteds they can't afford, big spenders were already buying so no need to appeal more to them, and F2P players wont feel incentivized to spend.

Ppl should be reminded of Fate Collab being soon. My take is that the collab characters will be remembrance path as well, probably a pair of master/servan like Shirou/Artoria or Rin/Emiya. So, Sunday havers, Rejoice, we might win with these guys
This, hate to skip a character i like but what's the point if i won't play her optimal team. Coz there's no way am spending 150 jades pulling for mydei. Sunday will keep waiting on the bench i suppose, till we get another great remembrance character
If she truly is a DPS that needs another DPS to function and Sunday doesn't function with her, then I'm skipping which is a shame. I'm hoping and praying the FATE Collaboration features Saber (Artoria) or Rider (Medusa) I won't even mind Archer (Gilgamesh or Emiya)
I pulled for Sunday because of Castorice, if she doesn't work with him, I'll just skip her. I have E3 Bronya, E0 Sparkle and full build RMC, I did not needed Sunday, but I only pulled him for her. (I like him a lot, but didn't needed another action advance character) I'll be disappointed, but hopefully we will have another summon DPS so I can use Sunday with 😅

But you dont need Tribbie for The Herta. She's tier 0 with remembrance trailblazer, so in theory you can just pull for Anaxa after not spending for the whole 3.1 patch and you will have an awesome team.

After that, they automatically get powercreep because the character now rely on its own multiplier rather than the game's buffs. Damages means nothing in HSR. Anaxa being good with THerta is pure speculation + copium.
If I wouldn't be persistent on skipping Tribbie, I'd pull Castorice but in current scenario I'm skipping. I don't have jades for that, and I'd rather skip them all and get Phainon than the other way around
I kinda hope she can work in a regular kind of team... I'm f2p, I didn't have the resources for Sunday, I can't get mydei, tribbie and castorice and was only interested in castorice because I like her character theme and design. I'll be crushed if getting her will be a waste for my account.
Sunday will work even better tho because if her memosprite will have normal speed it just mean you will be able to do normal rotation as memosprite attack then sunday skill then memosprite attack again
well my concern with this is not only having to pull the two characters prior to her, but also that specially RMC or Tribbie are good support for The Herta who many people already pulled, so yeah. I think I might save for March 5* form or Hysilens with Black Swan since I wasnt playng during her previous banners
The information about the 2 possible Castorice ultimates is misinterpreted, the leakers said that there's been two versions of her ultimate during development, one based on energy like a normal ultimate, and another one based on the special condition of consuming teamwide HP. They said that they don't know which one of these two is the one that will be shipping in the character release on the Beta. In conclusion, she doesn't have two different ultimates to use, instead there's been two versions of her ultimate during development. Personally I think that the one shipping will be the HP related one, because if she is an Anniversary character like Acheron was, who blew up us with her animations and her special ultimate regeneration by debuffs, she shouldn't be much different from that.
Amusingly from a story perspective, if anyone was going to work alongside Castorice, it should be Mydei. He can't die so it would be less dangeous for him to be around her. Not sure if Tribbie has something to protect her from that though. On that note though it kind of sucks if we need those two to make Castorice shine since all three of them are in a row for release. Sure there's reruns but still.
I'm already planning to use Blade, Castorice, Fuxuan and Bronya. Suicid team go brrrr. Casto burning teammates HP is exactly what Blade needs to increase his damages ceiling.
Hoyo has entered a stage where premium characters would underperform without certain other premium characters. Coupled with an attractive story line this is a very effective money-grabbing strategy. Plus, if characters are already hyped, they really don't need to be that good. Castorice's design makes total sense from a money-making perspective. And I think this is an official declaration of, "pay to play, be okay with mediocracy, or just quite playing." I really am not sure how much Hoyo cares about F2P now.
Since this is an anniversary unit, I want it to be as strong as possible so that you can play more than just the best team without losing like 50% of her damage. I dont hate perfect teams but at least make it work with more then just the last few new 5* characters

But if she is a Sub DPS she will turn out to be Topaz and Jades. They are both consider DPS at release and they BiS teamate are quite bad making them low rated at that points but now both of them are BiS in the best team. So you are not likely to get Mydei for her to works, just get her and wait for others.

I'm not going to pull for Tribbie and Mydei. If they are just must-have characters for her, even in that situation. And not because I cannot afford that. But just because I'm pulling for characters that I like. If Castorice does not perform good without them, I would not pull her. Hopefully, they will not make such a stupid move. Though, the synergy mechanics sounds very interesting.
I believe hyacine will be their best in slot healer, theorizing that she will be wind remembrance and using the spd scale planar. That would mean that she would likely have either massive heals or is designed for hp consumers and I really want her tbh
People here are focusing a bit too much on the Sunday or Mydei argument, but are failing to realize that, if this is true and the line-up remains as it is believed, then this is just a terrible marketing practice. By releasing three characters that justify each other's usage one after the other, you are essentially suffocating your players. You either saved jades like a madman or are willing to spend a lot of money in it, because otherwise there's no way in hell you can get the three of them in one go, even less so if you wish to pick an eidolon or lightcone too. I was excited to get Castorice, but if any of this turns to be true, then I may as well just skip her entirely. This game is already quite restrictive on team comps, so it's already bad enough I can't always play with all the characters I like, but this is getting ridiculous.
Wasn't this already speculated before Amphoreus came out? I know I heard about the Mydei/Castorice Synergy somewhere and therefore never expected anything else. I pulled Sunday for Aglaea and because he's future proof in general. I'm surprised a lot of people seemingly didn't expect this, especially considering how Hoyo releases chars in hsr. We practically always get the Harmony for a team first (Tribbie), then the dps (Mydei) and after that usually support/sustain/second dps (Castorice). Sometimes they switch up release order between Harmony and dps. Sorry to all the people who pulled Sunday specifically for Castorice, but I really think it was to be expected. I'm prepared to pull for all 3 of them, even though I'm f2p and might not be able to, but most of the time it worked out just fine, even though I pull most chars after pity. If not, then it is what it is. It's just a game after all. Good luck to all the people with their current and future pulls of course.
You know? Would it be funny if Castorice is actually HP drain support, With Damaging ability as her nuke. All the damage her whole term has receive is charging her ult. While Castorice herself act like Nihility, inflict bunch of Debuff on the enemies, maybe def reduction or res reduction and so on. As for the hp drain mechanic, it go to her Dragon, which will nuke the enemy team and deal dmg base on how much HP loss it has gather.
As someone who has been waiting ever since a duo Quantum and Imaginary Destruction duo (back then Remembrance was still being set as Destruction). I'm waiting for Mydei and Castorice synergy to become official.

I was thinking this too, considering the recent dev messages about also working to make older characters relevant again. In particular Mydei comes off as very similar to Blade, but for now we will need to see how her kit actually works.

I haven’t started the story yet, so this is just assumption: Castorice’s technique in overworld could also be similar to Acheron’s technique instant killing the opponents because she is simply a Reaper.

If she does drain a big amount of HP then yeah, Luocha prob Best in Slot (Lingsha might work too but her healing is way slower than Luocha's) Just want to say though, she might get like a dedicated Healer in 3.2 or later possibly Hyacine or Reca, so don't pull Luocha just for your Casto Team
mr reca is leaked to be a remembrance 4 star healer on her banner!! pretty sure as of right now its speculated that he's the Gallagher of remembrance, with hyacine likely being his 5 star counterpart.
If this turns out to be true, my guess is that it’s to prevent Aglaea from being replaced so quickly since Sunday and RMC are some of her best teammates already.
Well me and my entire friend group pulled Sunday cause we all wanted the best teammates for Castorice. Well it looks like She will be a skip cause pulling 2 characters back to back just before her banner is a big no no. Better to just save and pull Anexa for herta and pull Cyrene and Hysilens

As soon as i heard that leak about her wanting HP scaling allies, it clicked for me. I mean, you can see in the mydei showcases that he isnt really suppoed to be a main dps. More like a subDPS akin to blade-jingliu. And this is what i have been expecting of castorice since.
He's a DPS. He needs to be hit to gain stacks and has 100% taunt. Making him incompatible with any DPS of the same kind like Blade. If Castorice is his best teammate, it means she's the support.

ngl people saying "sunday won't be compatible with castorice" sounds like mega cope from non sunday havers. Even if the dragon is decently fast (like 134 speed or more) that wouldn't magically make sunday bad. Consider that sunday/bronya are both BiS supports for boothill and that guy runs at a speed of at minimum 145 for talia's 2 pc. Unless the dragon does weenie damage (very unlikely) sunday will almost certianly be BiS since as boothill shows, a mega nuke going off multiple times is really good. In terms of overcapping crit rate, that could be a *minor* concern, however it just means you need more focused artifacts (e.g crit damage and atk% or whatever castorice ends up scaling with)
Im calling it Castorice's technique will be like Robin's or Jongliu's with an area arounds her that puts enemies into a trance with purple flowers at their feets exactly like we saw during the quest where she walks in front of us 😅
Imma still get her bc if she doesn't use Sunday then I have Sunday on my Herta or Jing Yuan. Same for RMC. I'm big chilling If she wants strong healers, I have Luocha and I hear Mr. Reca is gonna be one too. And if she wants Mydei, then I have Blade and other people can use Jingliu. So I think a lot of folks will be FINE-ISH. It's probably gonna be similar to Therta wanting Jade but using Serval/Agenti and wanting Lingsha but using Aventurine or Huohuo or Gallagher It's all about flexibility and still clearing content
My Sunday is E6 so the more I overcap on CR the easier my game will get. I am also planning to pull for E2 Mydei on his rerun so I will get Castorice’s BIS team for sure.

the mydei + castorice leaks make sense genuinely speaking when you look at the upcoming healer planar. two characters who drain an insane amount of health, and a set that requires an insane amount of spd to keep up with it
But Mydei would be just as good as any other character if Castorice's kit will only count the health that she herself takes from the team and not jsut any damage in general. Which owuld be more logical.
Mydei needs to be the hypercarry DPS of the team. As long as Castorice doesn't have taunt in her kit, she can be an excellent sub DPS for Mydei and Blade, who need to lose a ton of HP.

And yes he might have some anti synergy with part of the remembrance engine but so does ruan mei with her break delay too
And it is still quite early leaks we are still 3.0 and she is coming in 3.2 so devs very likely will make changes for her and do you remember how different was the Sunday animation leak description (i give it as example why leaks in general can be mile away from the actual thing)

When Sunday first release, people got baited thinking he might be like Ruan Mei, ok when first release but very strong in later updates, people got baited for thinking that. From another source I heard, I think Cathorice best team should be Castorice + Sunday + Tribbie + Luocha (until next 5 star abundance release), only reason why Sunday may not be better than RMC is because the energy regen thing will be wasted, but just like Ruan Mei, she also have a few buffs wasted when playing super break team, so Sunday is not the worst option, also pretty sure he buff the summons a lot more than RMC.
I feel like it would be Castorice that's the bait, if she needs another DPS to be good, she's not worth it. Sunday at least works well with normal DPS units as a better bronya. And works really well with Aglaea

her memosprite's purpose is to drain the allies hp so it moves rly fast and that would make sense with why her "ult" is charged by the allies hp drain threshold.
and once the requirement is met either her ult or skill is changed, although its questionable whether or not this work like mydei where you dont have an option to choose or like The Herta where you can save that charge for another turn.
so having sunday in fact would improve her playstyle a lot if the memosprite mechanic does work like that.

There were no break-focused characters prior to Ruan Mei except Xuyei, and she herself was mostly designed with Ruan Mei in mind since Ruan Mei came out one patch later. Himeko bacame the break unit only much later, prior to that she was considered a subdps and worked as one too, so she doesnt count. And sushang only benefit slightly from breaking the enemy, without doing majority of her dmg through break, so again, doesn't count

As far as I could deduce from your barely readable comment (no offence, not everyone(myself included) is a professional English user, and it's understandable) you said that break characters launched without any supports, which is not true, there was one and a really good one at that- Ruan Mei. Later, when firefly got released there was already harmony mc for her to use. And Boothill didn't really care either way, he could use bronya just as well as mc, if not better. Break as an archetype began first and foremost with the release of Xuyei and Ruan Mei, since prior to that break could not output ANY damage at all. 20k per enemy broken is a drop in the ocean even by those days standards. Gallagher augmented this team as a sustain who could output immense damage if used alongside the supports you would be using anyway. Then ling Sha became another sustain to fill that niche, and since Gallagher was already this good they made a direct upgrade of him and sold her really well.
And then there's Fugue. She's basically a sidegrade to harmony MC, viable enough for you to be able to switch off harmony for the sake of more prominent in the meta remembrance MC who's a bis teammate for Herta and Aglaea teams right now and not feel uncomfortable leaving your break team. Fugue is straight up upgrade for Rappa and Boothill, better than MC due to them scaling better with break damage then superbreak, and good enough sidegrade for firefly(considering she can break firefly enemies with weakness already implanted as well, she is a good subdps too)

Well i will take it. Yeah it bad that i have Sunday and his best teamate is Aglaea. I already go all in to Therta and now RMC is better teamate with herta than Sunday. But what i said she turning out like this is alright, it make the game more versetile.

They are actually trying to make her a solo dps as well as introduce a duo dps comp. The problem with that is if not executed properly, her kit will be just touching both, but not good in neither.
People moan about her potentially not working amazingly with Sunday, and needing 3 premium units from almost back-to-back-to-back banners being "predatory," but the other possibility is much more interesting IMO.
IF Castorice turns out to be functional in 2 totally different team types (one built around action advancing her & her memosprite, and one built around the chunkiest units for maximum HP drain), she has the potential to be the most F2P-friendly hypercarry in the history of the game. Having so many options, many of which people will already have by the time she releases, rather than 2-3 units being head and shoulders above the rest of her teammate options is something pretty exciting that we haven't really seen yet.
I have doubts that they'll pull it off, but hey, it's possible?
I swear if her best teammates are actually the two new characters that release right before her I'mma be really dissapointed

Castorice not working with Sunday would be incredibily bozo of HSR. I'm not about to pull for a whole separate DPS just to make another one work, that's twice the investment for the same amount of reward.
Additionally, I feel like this would make sales for Castorice particularly hard. If her BIS teammates are both premium, where the only 4 star that shares a gimmick with one of them is god damn Arlan, that's a red flag to most people already.
Acheron, Feixiao and The Herta all have f2p accessible teams, so I'd imagine this info is a little on the harder side to believe.
And lastly, there has been talk of Sunday having his rerun together with Castorice. HSR always reruns characters that synergize with the newest character, so this is already pretty strong info.
"What if it's not true?" Who are they going to rerun? Blade? After Mydei? We also just had Huohuo and will most likely have Luocha with Mydei, so abundance is off the table. Make it make sense.

Casual spenders won't feel inclined to spend on a character that won't work if they require a character that'll need other limiteds they can't afford, big spenders were already buying so no need to appeal more to them, and F2P players wont feel incentivized to spend.

well my concern with this is not only having to pull the two characters prior to her, but also that specially RMC or Tribbie are good support for The Herta who many people already pulled, so yeah. I think I might save for March 5* form or Hysilens with Black Swan since I wasnt playng during her previous banners
The information about the 2 possible Castorice ultimates is misinterpreted, the leakers said that there's been two versions of her ultimate during development, one based on energy like a normal ultimate, and another one based on the special condition of consuming teamwide HP. They said that they don't know which one of these two is the one that will be shipping in the character release on the Beta.
In conclusion, she doesn't have two different ultimates to use, instead there's been two versions of her ultimate during development.
Personally I think that the one shipping will be the HP related one, because if she is an Anniversary character like Acheron was, who blew up us with her animations and her special ultimate regeneration by debuffs, she shouldn't be much different from that.
Amusingly from a story perspective, if anyone was going to work alongside Castorice, it should be Mydei. He can't die so it would be less dangeous for him to be around her. Not sure if Tribbie has something to protect her from that though.
On that note though it kind of sucks if we need those two to make Castorice shine since all three of them are in a row for release. Sure there's reruns but still.

Hoyo has entered a stage where premium characters would underperform without certain other premium characters. Coupled with an attractive story line this is a very effective money-grabbing strategy. Plus, if characters are already hyped, they really don't need to be that good. Castorice's design makes total sense from a money-making perspective. And I think this is an official declaration of, "pay to play, be okay with mediocracy, or just quite playing." I really am not sure how much Hoyo cares about F2P now.

People here are focusing a bit too much on the Sunday or Mydei argument, but are failing to realize that, if this is true and the line-up remains as it is believed, then this is just a terrible marketing practice. By releasing three characters that justify each other's usage one after the other, you are essentially suffocating your players.
You either saved jades like a madman or are willing to spend a lot of money in it, because otherwise there's no way in hell you can get the three of them in one go, even less so if you wish to pick an eidolon or lightcone too.
I was excited to get Castorice, but if any of this turns to be true, then I may as well just skip her entirely. This game is already quite restrictive on team comps, so it's already bad enough I can't always play with all the characters I like, but this is getting ridiculous.
Wasn't this already speculated before Amphoreus came out? I know I heard about the Mydei/Castorice Synergy somewhere and therefore never expected anything else. I pulled Sunday for Aglaea and because he's future proof in general. I'm surprised a lot of people seemingly didn't expect this, especially considering how Hoyo releases chars in hsr. We practically always get the Harmony for a team first (Tribbie), then the dps (Mydei) and after that usually support/sustain/second dps (Castorice). Sometimes they switch up release order between Harmony and dps. Sorry to all the people who pulled Sunday specifically for Castorice, but I really think it was to be expected. I'm prepared to pull for all 3 of them, even though I'm f2p and might not be able to, but most of the time it worked out just fine, even though I pull most chars after pity. If not, then it is what it is. It's just a game after all. Good luck to all the people with their current and future pulls of course.
If Sunday isn't her BiS, I wonder who will rerun alongside Castorice during her debut?

You know? Would it be funny if Castorice is actually HP drain support, With Damaging ability as her nuke.
All the damage her whole term has receive is charging her ult. While Castorice herself act like Nihility, inflict bunch of Debuff on the enemies, maybe def reduction or res reduction and so on.
As for the hp drain mechanic, it go to her Dragon, which will nuke the enemy team and deal dmg base on how much HP loss it has gather.
I feel like it just wouldnt get through final version of beta. Like the cn community will bully the hell out of them till its changed. I hope...😭
As someone who has been waiting ever since a duo Quantum and Imaginary Destruction duo (back then Remembrance was still being set as Destruction). I'm waiting for Mydei and Castorice synergy to become official.

I say she will work well a preservation if she needs hp loss for more damage so I won’t have to worry about her death, she could also go well with and character who has lots of hp
She maybe have a good synergy with other hp draining character like jingliu and blade.
I was thinking this too, considering the recent dev messages about also working to make older characters relevant again. In particular Mydei comes off as very similar to Blade, but for now we will need to see how her kit actually works.

Sunday is Bronya, but better. He won't be a waste anytime soon, but it will be disappointing if he doesn't work with Castorice.

I haven’t started the story yet, so this is just assumption: Castorice’s technique in overworld could also be similar to Acheron’s technique instant killing the opponents because she is simply a Reaper.
What sustain would be good for her then? I’ll most likely pull for loucha since I still need a limited sustain I hope he works well with castorice. Love the videos ❤
If she does drain a big amount of HP then yeah, Luocha prob Best in Slot (Lingsha might work too but her healing is way slower than Luocha's) Just want to say though, she might get like a dedicated Healer in 3.2 or later possibly Hyacine or Reca, so don't pull Luocha just for your Casto Team

mr reca is leaked to be a remembrance 4 star healer on her banner!! pretty sure as of right now its speculated that he's the Gallagher of remembrance, with hyacine likely being his 5 star counterpart.

As someone who only wants Mydei and Castorice from the 3.x cast, I hope the duel DPS with Mydei and Castorice ends up being the case.
If this turns out to be true, my guess is that it’s to prevent Aglaea from being replaced so quickly since Sunday and RMC are some of her best teammates already.
Well me and my entire friend group pulled Sunday cause we all wanted the best teammates for Castorice. Well it looks like She will be a skip cause pulling 2 characters back to back just before her banner is a big no no. Better to just save and pull Anexa for herta and pull Cyrene and Hysilens

As soon as i heard that leak about her wanting HP scaling allies, it clicked for me. I mean, you can see in the mydei showcases that he isnt really suppoed to be a main dps. More like a subDPS akin to blade-jingliu. And this is what i have been expecting of castorice since.
He's a DPS. He needs to be hit to gain stacks and has 100% taunt. Making him incompatible with any DPS of the same kind like Blade.
If Castorice is his best teammate, it means she's the support.

Her being built as slow character (relics reduces her speed) is already a leak that she doesn't rely on AA units
ngl people saying "sunday won't be compatible with castorice" sounds like mega cope from non sunday havers. Even if the dragon is decently fast (like 134 speed or more) that wouldn't magically make sunday bad. Consider that sunday/bronya are both BiS supports for boothill and that guy runs at a speed of at minimum 145 for talia's 2 pc. Unless the dragon does weenie damage (very unlikely) sunday will almost certianly be BiS since as boothill shows, a mega nuke going off multiple times is really good. In terms of overcapping crit rate, that could be a *minor* concern, however it just means you need more focused artifacts (e.g crit damage and atk% or whatever castorice ends up scaling with)

If she wants strong healers, I have Luocha and I hear Mr. Reca is gonna be one too.
And if she wants Mydei, then I have Blade and other people can use Jingliu. So I think a lot of folks will be FINE-ISH.
It's probably gonna be similar to Therta wanting Jade but using Serval/Agenti and wanting Lingsha but using Aventurine or Huohuo or Gallagher

My Sunday is E6 so the more I overcap on CR the easier my game will get. I am also planning to pull for E2 Mydei on his rerun so I will get Castorice’s BIS team for sure.

Boys you are fine without Tribbie, she is a general support like RM and is even better for THerta. If you want Mydei, go ahead he'll be great with Cas. But if you don't want any of them, Cas will still be fine without them.
