He’s famous for yodelling, and was the first one who brought it to India. Not formally trained but just a natural talent. Sometimes he used to leave studio while singing cause he enjoyed it so much
We don't know yet cause mohammad rafi also did yodelling so who is first we don't know
But he worked hard brother. Just like MS Dhoni didn't had any proffesional training in cricket, but he practiced and became better.

He is late Kishore Kumar - one of the legendry singers of Indian Cinema. He was the voice of all top actors. He was not...not...not a trained singer but was respected and appreciated by all the trained singers of his time. Indian cinema is still looking for another Kishore Kumar. Tks - #Moshy

i won't say that's completely true tho, i mean classical singing is no more taken a lot by the yougsters, but there are still some who are so good in classical music and infusing them in bollywood songs, like shreya ghoshal, sonu kakkar, sunidhi chauhan, they are definitely great and very much versatile... but i will obviuosly give credit to kishore kumar for things that he only can do

I think you should react to him "yodelling". He was the best-known yodeller in India(perhaps the only one). Apparently, yodelling was a thing back in the 1940s, particularly with country music, and he listened to some of the great American yodellers of that era.
Now that you have reacted to Kishore Kumar, you should respond to Mohammed Rafi too. The utter finesse of his lower notes was legendary. You need to pick the right songs for that, though. As always, the issue with these old live performances is that the acoustics aren't good.

Oh, damn. He was my grandfather's and is my father's favorite. This brings me back to my time as a kid when I would visit my grandparents in a small village in Maharashtra, India, and would be surrounded by love from my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and literally people walking by who knew my family and knew me somehow. I don't know how it works, but India is different.
