    Wow! What a totally amazing build. This was the first video of yours I watched and I am so impressed. Thank you for sharing all the information on what you used, why you used it and highlighting the features and benefits while giving the tour of the vehicle. It's difficult to stay under a tight budget Shaun, especially when you want to do the best job you can without cutting corners.

    Fantastic job you have inspired me to look for a van to do this. Vivaro / Traffic I would like as they are low enough to get under the car park barriers. Finding a van cheap enough maybe a problem. I think I might swap the bed and the kitchen round so the seat faces the sliding door.
    Thank you very much for all the great ideas!

    Lovely , neat , simple and clean conversion. Would like to see the process of building the kitchen and cupboard storage. I'm torn between proper 15mm furniture board , or cheaper birch plywood and add an adhesive wrap in my own design.

    • @DIYCampervansAndVariety
      @DIYCampervansAndVariety  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would go with plywood the furniture board is heavy chipboard underneath and not very strong,I have used furniture board before with great results but if I was to cover it anyway I would go with the ply, thanks for watching 👍

      DIY Campervans And Variety - I’m absolutely sure you’re far better than you think!!! I certainly could not do better. Not everyone has unlimited funds to build their dream camper van nor the garage full of the latest tools and equipment. What you have shown here is exactly what you set out to achieve - a really great result on a realistic budget to inspire everyone to believe they can do it too. This series will give many the confidence and chance to succeed. Huge respect. 👍

    I respect anyone taking the time in making youtube videos. It's great that you are taking on board the critique regarding poor video footage. Something else that would make me continue to watch would be actual footage of you doing at least one of the jobs and not just a before and after. I would have loved more detail not just a quick camera flash past it or a out of focus close up. The windows being fitted?, the heater being installed?
    Of course this depends on where you want to go with the channel..., but I'm sure you've seen others that are lengthy or ones that are short but edited well with important detailed footage. Do that and I'm sure you'd triple views and keep em coming back.
    I'm in for the ride, look forward to improvements and the great tips and knowledge.

    Did you not put a gas dropout vent in ?? Also that 12v wiring dosen't look that clever where the connectors ore put on the wiring. That said for the budget there's a lot in it

    • @DIYCampervansAndVariety

      Yes I always fit gas drop out vents through the floor,videos probably don’t do the wiring justice,I must admit it looks a little messy but on closer inspection it’s all well fitted and easy enough to follow,I always label all wires identifying what it’s far and what voltage it is, thanks for watching 👍

    You are very talented, a camper van of that quality for a cost to build of 2,500 quid! You ought to consider a second career in doing this for a living. You would have order books ful for 12 months in advance particularly if you target the lower end of the market - not everyone can afford £20,000+ for a camper. Excellent set of videos, enjoyed watching them and look forward to the next project.👍😊

    Hi, cannot fault you work, looks like you have done a fantastic job on the build. I watched the first episode and the last, not finnishing any of them. It is not because of your content but your total lack of effort in documenting it. You do not need a gimbal, you just need to take 10 seconds per shot of what you are trying to showcase without thrusting the camera right into the object we are supposed to be looking at before you hit hyperdrive to the next shot. I wonder how many subscribers you would have actually picked up along the way.
