These highly scientific content videos are EVERYTHING!! Thank you!!! Well done 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻 … btw… my ID.4 is finally here! I should be able to pick it up any day now! Yayyyyy!!!
Heating has the potential do drain a lot more, especially in very cold weather. The battery PTC can use 4KW and the cabin PTC up to 6KW. Last winter on a damn cold Canadian morning, total drain while on a red light just a few minutes after a cold start, it reached 11KW. It drops quickly when cabin and battery temps are met. Battery PTC stops at 6°C /43°F and keeps it there. Usually this very high total consumption drops rapidly to around 2-2.5KW while driving. BTW KWh/h is simply, KW. Inever understood why the display adds h/h, it is just a nonsense: a snapshot power measure does not involve time over time, moreover when it cancels itself!
Darn good to know, thank you, and the regen braking suggestion at the end was funny😁 I enjoyed your video about the sweeping headlights as you turn. Yeah nobody else is doing videos like this on the ID4, so thanks again. And the door handles that light up, they are a setting that you can turn off, right?
Great video. If you are going 100 miles... Then charge for 1.5 hrs of a/c additional... +9 miles? Unless... Your recent drive history had a/c active... In that case air-conditioning cost is in the base range estimate equation? Does your range estimate change depending on cabin climate settings? Is it that smart?
That's a good point. I don't know if the range estimate changes with climate settings. The long term kWh per mile is without climate settings on. I'll have to crank on the A/C while I'm driving sometime and see if I get a rapid decrease in estimated range.
Another good reason for the flat front end is so your wife can easily push from the front, you will be going backwards but this way you can see if she stops , I’m gaining more respect for the VW engineers every day. -
Complete CRAP that you didn't set the temperature to 69?!?! 70?!? 70?!?! Why would ANYONE use that setting when it is completely obvious that one degree cooler is the optimal temperature. Blocked. Reported. Unsubscribed. Dislike Button Slammed!

Do you have it yet?
@@lankyscatchannel9032 yes!!! Finally! Just picked it up, today! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
That's awesome. Which one did you get? Color, configuration....???

in my ID4 in -24f i hit 11kw 5kw cabin heat and 5kw battery heater with some other losses i guess

Out of sheer curiosity, does the entire steering wheel get warm when you turn the heater on?
It does. It's glorious. My Toyota only has roughly 60% warm up.
Sooo... Are you getting a discount from Uncle Sam with all this thicccccc content? I would hope it offsets the energy cost to some degree.
Yes? No? I don't know. I always just send in a return that gets me enough to pay off my debt. 😉

Hot hefty honey! That’s hilarious!!

Oof…..I’m going to delete the channel. That was a massive (TWSS) oversight. 😔
@@Freecpapadvice holy crap - it never clicked that you're the same dude I watch for CPAP videos until I saw your comments!!! :)
Yep.....same jerk! 😉
