🎉POLL TIME! Would YOU move to Alaska? Yes or No?
Absolutely yes. Probably a remote place would be great for a while. In fact, I think Cora is going to need a cabin to come back from time to time. Alaska is one of the few places that mostly remain as the Earth was made for the human being.
Yes
Grew up there and it calls me home every year
In a heartbeat!
Yes
This channel seems like it should have hundreds of thousands of subscribers. The footage and narration are so professional and beautiful.
Wow, THANK YOU!
We were in Seward in late May of '24. We celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary with an epic Alaska vacation. We did the mural walking tour too. Such a great place! Thank you for capturing it so well.
That's awesome, we bet you guys had an amazing time in Seward, it's such a beautiful place! Thank you for watching the video!
Beautiful tear jerking story!
We're so glad it resonated with you! 🙏
Cora, I get your tears. Alaska gets in your blood. Every day is an adventure. I miss the moose that was in my garage, or the two grizzlies walking side-by-side about 20 feet behind me when I was fishing in Haines, etc. Also, traveling to the remote villages and expanding the horizons of native children says a lot about what's inside both of you. Safe travels during the next chapter!
It really does get in your veins, doesn't it? We will always miss Alaska...
First time seeing your channel, I really look forward to seeing your travels. ❤ Michele Ontario 🇨🇦
Wasilla was our last stop in Alaska as we headed home to Orlando Florida where my wife of 64 years had a massive stroke. Our life style has changed so much. Enjoy your travels. We went to Argentina in 2000 for three weeks to Terra del Fuego , all the mountain hikes in that area, glacier Marino for two hours; wonderful memories. Unfortunately Suzette doesn’t remember those wonderful experiences we had together for 64 years. I will try to follow you as you head for Argentina and relive that traveling. We did Viking cruises from Iceland to Scotland to Norway to North Mediterranean, Toronto to Nova Scotia! I have such wonderful memories. I know you will too. Lester.
Hi Lester, sending you the warmest biggest hug to you and Suzette!
It's been a pleasure experiencing Alaska with ya'll through this channel. Excited for what's to come! Was amazing meeting ya'll on the East Coast last winter! LOVED Seward, I'd happily live there. But something about Homer pulls me even stronger.
Also, pilot of the water plane at the end looked exactly like the same guy who took us up this year, awesome!
Probably was the same pilot! Brad is his name. He's great!
This is a spot on tribute to Seward and the surrounding area. A perfect capture of the beauty and the experience. You had me weepy eyed, knowing what this place meant to you. Look at it as a recharging of the heart, for the trip ahead 🙏
Thanks, Dave :) We're so glad you got to experience some of the magic of Seward as well :)
my name is Eric Evans and I am so glad I found you guys, I always wanted to go to Alaska these videos makes my heart yearn for it even more. I want to learn more and you have me as a supporter for life. Love you guys keep up the great work and visiting all places I only wish I could visit
Dear Eric - thank you for these kind words and for becoming a channel member! This means so much! Thank you for appreciating and supporting our work. - Cora & Jose
Great production and wonderful narration as always. Very very beautiful song by the kids, can feel the love for the land. Brings some much warmth to my heart. Wishing you all the best in your new journey.
Thank you very much! ❤️❤️
Ah, you had me going there for a minute from the title of this video! Curve balls usually indicate problems. I understand your anxiety to leave such a beautiful familiar place behind, but I also understand the anticipation of the adventure ahead. Embrace the sadness of temporarily leaving good friends behind while anticipating meeting new friends along the journey ahead.
I'd really like to point out the master craftsmanship of your videography and editing of this video. You tell an amazing story by mostly using voice overs while showing some very unique scenery and animal life as the backdrop. I wish more TH-camr's would follow your lead!
Thank you Bob - we really appreciate that you enjoy the episodes and all the work we put into them!
I came to Alaska for a summer and almost a decade later I'm still here. Happy that you enjoyed your time in Seward with your community of friends. Safe travels on the beginning of your journey.
Also that was a beautiful mural.
That is how you know where your heart is 🥰 So happy you have enjoyed our Alaska episodes, Lisa. It’s a huge compliment!!
Like I told you at the airport back in May, finish your amazing journey, and then come back home to Seward ❤.
Awww, hi Angela! Such sweet, kind words 😊 We might very well do exactly that ❤️
The only reason I started watching your channel was Alaska! Sad ending to a great story! But a new story begins, good luck!
Well stay tuned because two more Alaska episodes are coming your way, and they are EPIC 😊🤘
Glad you are back. You were missed. Beautiful mural.
❤️❤️
I enjoyed your look back on your time in Seward and all of your Alaskan journeys. I can see how special the place is to you and your memories brought tears to my eyes. But as attached as you are to Point A in your journey, I will bet that you will find similar attachments to Points B thru Z. Get out there, discover and enjoy! I am living vicariously through you both and looking forward to your next adventures! Thank you!
❤Thank you!❤
Thank you for watching 🥰
Thank you, Cora and Jose, I have enjoyed your videos and songs of Alaska. I will be traveling there in April of 2025. Looking forward to my journey as a photographer. I will be in Denali for 6 months. I already feel connected to the area by your inspiration. May God bless you both on your next journey south.
David R. Johnson
David, thank you for taking the time to send this kind note. Enjoy Alaska! Oh my goodness, you are going to fall in love. Get ready! And wow, six months is a good period of time! It always makes us a little sad when folks only have a week or two. It's just not enough time. Are you going to spend most of your time in the Denali area, or will you be able to move around a bit? We really recommend doing the loop from Denali down to the Kenai Peninsula, then up to Glennalen and over to Valdez, then take the Richardson Highway to Delta Junction (stop to see Castner Glacier on that route), then back down to Denali.
@@ArtWeThereYet I will be mainly in the Denali area working for Holland / Princess Cruise line as a shuttle bus driver. I plan on traveling on my days off. I just retired on Sept. 30, 2024. My passion is for wildlife photography and the mountains. God has opened the door for this awesome opportunity. I definitely want to visit the Kenai Peninsula.
Not many people on a journey get to have such a special connection to one place and leave such a positive legacy there. Your creativity and openness sets you apart 👍
We feel so blessed we have the opportunity to travel and get to n on ow the world this way..
Wow, your emotion is a very special moment and understandable! Moving to Alaska is appealing but because of family and our age, not a wise choice. Great video!! Thank you!!
Yes, I originally recorded that clip not thinking it would be in any video. Mostly just recorded it for myself and maybe a documentary years down the road. But, it fit too perfectly here, so we used it.
Thank you so very much Cora and Jose'...I shed tears as I watched your wonderful video...listened to your amazing music/soundtrack and saw the fabulous photography and art you both shared with us. I am heartened by the fact that you both love Alaska as much as I do. I will be returning to Seward in July of '25 and will make a beeline to photograph your mural. Alaska is a huge part of my life and it always welcomes me when I return. Blessings from this old singer/songwriter for continued success with your journey....with love and respect...Bob
Thank you so much for your heartfelt words, Bob! We're thrilled to hear how much our video resonated with you. Alaska truly is a magical place, and we can't wait to see your photos of the mural!
What a great find!!! I stumbled across your story while watching “Bags Packed Family” vlog from their Florida to Alaska road trip. I can hardly wait to jump on your bus and take a road trip with you…
Oooh yay! Welcome aboard, Debi!
That’s such a beautiful wrap of your adventure in Alaska!
Thank you, Poli! Stay tuned for just a few more Alaska episodes, including the grand finale :)
I've been amazed at how you capture the beauty that is Alaska! My wife and I have done two cruises to Alaska and watching your channel let's me know we need to spend more time there than a stop or two! I'm still working my way through your Alaskan videos, but so far they're amazing!
Wow, thank you! We are so happy you are enjoying our Alaska videos😊
I really enjoyed all of your Alaskan videos@
Yay! So happy! There are a few to go 😊
Outstanding! You sure captured the beauty and essence of Seward. Seward benefitted by your presence.
Wishing you safe and adventurous travels!
Thank you, John. This kind compliment carries special weight, coming from you! Thank you for everything. Hope you guys are enjoying the silvers! Sending a wave from McCarthy 👋
"Bonne route et bon voyage", take care and I can't wait to see your next adventure.
Merci Frederic!
You sincerely make the most Beautiful videos and have a calming voice that reels us in - saying goodbye to some place you love is always heartbreaking…. But new Beautiful places are around the corner and an adventure you will remember long into your life !
Enjoy every moment as it goes so fast ❤❤❤
Safe travels
Thank you so much, Sherry!
I LOVED AK so much I could cry. I loved my short two week adventure in there 4 years ago. Im so glad you got to stay as long as you did. I loved following your tales. If I could, this East coast girl, New Jersey, would spend every summer there. It's just such a looong trip. I will miss seeing AK through your eyes.
Aw that makes us so happy to hear! Well, stay tuned coz there are two more Alaska episodes coming up, including the grand finale!
Alaska does it to a person, I know as someone who travels back and to the interior. Love its awesomely cold winters.
Yes it does!
I just left the Kenai for home and this video ❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️
Safe travels
Thank you!
First met you folks, when I came across your Banff/Jasper videos, back in April of '23, and what a trip it's been ! Don't know how you'll top what you've done up to now, especially as it's my type of lifestyle, but I'm looking forward for what's to come. Thank you, be well and safe travels.
Cheers,
It’s so awesome that you have been with us since Banff! We kinda feel the same way - it’s hard to top this part of the world! But we have a feeling the jungles and volcanos of Latin America will rise to the challenge:) Personally, im excited to switch from talking about glaciers all the time, to talking about volcanos all the time :)
Great video
Thanks!
Following bags packed and followed their rec. cool channel!!
Yay! Welcome aboard!
I hope to cross paths on our respective journies...Love your vibe. Your gifts left behind are truly inspirational giving me a glimpse of another layer of my planned adventure through the Americas.
Yeah, it would be great to meet up somewhere along the road!
I can watch your videos all day long. Thanks for taking me along and learning so much. I envision taking my wood carving skills to an area like this to teach and carry on the carving tradition and be able to finish out my life. Helping others finding an art . That would make me happy
What a great compliment. Thank you, Dave. And we LOVE your vision. Not a lot of folks know this, but after the AWTY project, we plan to settle in Nicaragua and start an artist residency and welcome artists to come stay for free, in exchange for doing a workshop in the community, sharing their art with the kids in Jose’s hometown. Maybe you’ll enjoy coming down and spending some time there :)
@@ArtWeThereYet I will look forward to the future and your settlement in Nicaragua
Bet you are excited
Always thought I would enjoy doing a residency program in lieu of housing. Just was to share my experiences craft and basically trying to keep woodcarving alive for future generations
When I was in Ajo AZ they implemented a similar artist in residency at the old Curly School
And grants construction of studio type apartments and traing rooms and featured finished projects thru out the year
It was an interesting time. However I don’t recall any wood carving. Most were outstanding
Painting artists etc
That was way back in 2010..
Great talking with you and watching all your outstanding videos
Safe travels
I'm sure glad I followed along with you in Alaska, and looking forward to see what develops on your continued adventures, I've really enjoyed it tremendously and appreciate all your combined talents in presenting and sharing your adventures with me, and I say me cause thats the feeling I get, warm and friendly, anyway safe travels amigos from Arizona....Javi G.
Javi, we are SO GLAD you’ve enjoyed the ride. And stay tuned, coz there are two more Alaska episodes coming up, including the grand finale!
Goosebumps start to finish! Another great episode. Well one!!!
Thank you!
This was absolutely beautiful 🎉 You both are amazing storytellers and artists. You really captured your time in Seward. Thank you for sharing it with us ❤ Safe travels!
Aw, thank you Kelly! Hope you guys made it safe and sound to the house and are enjoying settling in!
@@ArtWeThereYetWe made it 🎉 We are having fun picking berries and soaking in the fall colors 🍂
Awesome video!! We will be visiting Alaska next week and Seward is on our itinerary. I will look for your mural😊👏🏾🙌🏾
Ooh yay! You're going to love it there! Rain or shine, it's a beautiful place. Our mural is on 4th Ave, right across from Avtec :)
We just watched your video and you did an amazing job narrating! I grew up in Anchorage and moved away to Seattle! You got me excited to plan a trip back to Alaska soon!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you can make it back to Alaska soon! 🙂
@@ArtWeThereYet Next summer! It’s official! Do you guys have a IG page of your adventures?!
Yes we do, you can find us on IG with the same name 🙂
You are such an amazing filmmaker and story teller... Thank you for sharing ❤!
Well I can't take full credit - these episodes are a team effort between myself and my incredible partner, Jose Luis Vilchez. We both thank you for your kind compliment!
Cora, I felt like you barley held your tears while recording the voice-over. Sending hugs ❤
Truth
❤ When I get to go down to Seward, I want to see your mural !! Ya'll touch & bless every person you meet, young & old alike. So glad you have this channel, so its never really "goodbye". This brought the tears, that would have been had we a
"goodbye" in person.
May all your days on your journey be blessed. 😢😊❤
( 11/ 3 : Been shoveling 7" rain / snow for 2 days w /1 more to go. Then another 3 " due the next day.
Hello winter in Talkeetna ! 😅 )
Hi Sheila! Awww yes it’s sad we didn’t get an in person goodbye. Sending you a hug and a wave! Winter came suddenly this year, didn’t it?!
@ArtWeThereYet Yes, has been giving sneak peaks since late August. 🌨
Finally decided to stay til May.❄️ Big hugs & waves to you both. 🤗
*Very beautiful sister*🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much 😊
Wow, didnt know Seward was an art city since long time - what a perfect "start" for your journey through the whole american continent. :)
But somehow, me following since 4 years I think, doesnt feel like just started after all :) You have grown your community by factor 100 - today 36500 subs, and I have been here when you reached a hundred, so 365 times, makes it a full year. Charma tells ya, youre on the very perfect way on your journey :)
I feel like, whenever in many years from now at the end of your journey on point B in antarktika, you might decide to return to seward, maybe most distance by plane, showing them what you have seen on your journey :)
By the way, this episode was really emotional on my end as well - tears of happiness :)
Yes, it's pretty crazy right! What a journey it has been...and it's barely just starting!
Yes I felt the immediate connection to Seward as well. My trip there was only 2 months, and am envious of your 2 years there !😊😅 THERE IS NO OTHER PROGRAM ON THE INTERNET AS IMERSIVE AND PROFESSIONAL AS THIS CHANNEL.......THANK YOU FOR SHARING WITH US ALL !🎉 THE town of Seward is So Welcoming to RV'ers and there is just such a huge variety of activities and experiences here to see and do. It was an eye opening place and few others are as nice in Alaska and Yukon. Dawson City and the Top of the World highway is my second place, but the old mining gold rush history is one of my interests. If I had stayed more than 6 months I may have not come back, the feeling brings tears of joy even now years later and watching your program makes those emotions fresh and new again. There could not be a better promotional program for Alaska than what you both have produced. Alaska Tourism board take note , these two artists could FLOOD your country with tourists and New residents, perhaps you should do some sponsorship and upgrade your promotional videos. CHEERS AND SAFE TRAVELS. Steve h
Hi Steve! Thank you SO MUCH for this kind and awesome feedback about our work and the channel. It takes our everything, so you taking the time to say this, really does mean everything to us!
And speaking of those places you just mentioned....we just completed the Top of the World Highway yesterday (Bobby Bus rocked the drive). Currently coming to you from the Yukon River Campground, which means the next episode we will be filming will be....Dawson City and the story of the Klondike Gold Rush :)
I get it. We got back from a 2 week Alaskan adventure. Beginning in Sitka and ended in the San Juan Islands. Southeast Alaska is truly magical (inside passage)
Yep, AK sinks its hooks in deep!
Yes! I have been there several times and LOVE it. Darn job is in Arizona though 😢
Those darn jobs!
We half expected you to say that you were becoming Alaskan residents! But you're like us: travelers. 🌎
We were SORELY tempted!
Yes
:)
We are visiting Alaska in just a few days. Thank you for sharing your amazing stories, song, art and videos. Can hardly wait to experience Alaska. Where can we view your beautiful murals in Seward? If you could only do 1 plane or helicopter tour, Which of these places would be your favorite between Seward or Talkeetna or Fairbanks?
Ooh you’re going to love Alaska! Definitely don’t do a flight seeing tour out of Fairbanks. Either Talkeetna or Seward will be amazing. I would play it by ear and go with the weather. If you’re in Talkeetna and it’s a clear day, hit the skies there. If it’s cloudy when you’re there, wait for Seward. And vice versa!
@@ArtWeThereYet thank you so much
💕🥰👍
Thanks!
Yes! We might retire in Seward! Where can we find your Orca mural?
Ooh that would be amazing! It is on 4th Ave, right across from Avtec.
When you coming to England !! We love you here too!!
Aw, that's very sweet! You never know, if the opportunity arises, we may visit!
❤
😊
💛💛💛
Love your content, format. What filming gear do you use?
Thank you so much watching! For our last eight videos we’ve been shooting mainly with a Canon R5, DJI Mavic 3Pro, and DJI Action 4. Before that we shot everything with the iPhone 13pro, DJI Mavic 3Pro and GoPro camera.
Didn’t you go to Prudhoe Bay? Are you going to show us an episode of that?
Yep! That will be the grand finale of Season 1!
@@ArtWeThereYet Love you guys! Saw you on another channel you’re in Canada or so. Good travels.
I would
❤️
Being a Native Hawaiian. I cannot see myself living anywhere that snows!
Fair enough! 😊
Where did you live while in Wisconsin. We're in Plover, Wi.
Viroqua :)
Watching your videos has changed my plans for when I retire in 3-5 years. I WILL buy a RV and I WILL take my dogs to Alaska!!! Just to see what can be!!!!!Thank you!!!
YES! You will not regret it!! Alaska is waiting for you :)
😁❤️
Enjoy Seward! If you want to do that flight, it's with Scenic Mountain Air (out of Moose Pass). They are great!
@ArtWeThereYet yes indeed, I'll try it out, thanks:)
Yes
