For Space Invaders Frenzy, don't score too high after winning the bonus. The game's highest score will be the score it will jump to after it sensed it payed out too much at a certain difficulty. If you keep the high score at, say, 30000, that's what it will stay at until the score is beat if you beat it in 20000-28000 score to win mode too much. This is from my analysis of the game looking at several discussions of it.
Jdevy - Arcade Games I'm glad I found this comment finally, but for future reference, please don't over kill sif when all you need is a jp. Some machines (depending on location) I've seen have the jackpot + other game tickets added up together making it a 500jp and XX game tickets. Most SIF's are a default straight 500/1000 jp. Just be careful when overscoring as this can screw up the high score needed to win another Jp (maybe that's why it's at 45.5k? )
I have never seen it so hard before, the one at the nickle aredade I go to, cost 0.20$ and the jackpot is 100 tickets but you only need to get 19 to 20.5k points and it doesn't rise.
When the lines of red invaders spawn, they will eventually only travel across half of the screen, which makes them lower at twice the speed. To negate this, you have to eliminate all the invaders from one side. It's best to use powerups soon after they spawn, because they expire after about 15 seconds or so (haven't analyzed the game enough to determine an exact figure, only speaking off of personal experience). Bombs, however, stay forever until you use them, but you only get 3. It's best to save them until you're in a tough spot (I like to detonate the last one only when I've surpassed 30,000). Lastly, when UFO's spawn, they will give a random point value of 500-2,500, so it's beneficial to go for them as soon as they spawn (As to allow more to spawn soon after). My highscore's only 47.5k so I've still got a lot to learn, but these are the main strategies I use to consistently score above 40k.

At my arcade, the score to beat has always been stuck on 56.5K. Absurd indeed.
