How coincidental this shows up in my recommended after watching Matt’s video
not coincidental at all lmfao. do you know what an algorithm is or how it works?? matt and paul have over 1,000,000 views on their videos of eds lj20. so any lj20/50 videos will be recommended now because youtube sees people like it.
Interesting Matt's off road recovery just pulled one of those out of the mountains that had been there over 40 yrs.

You Tube's algorithm was activated by the rescue of Ed's Suzuki and the Million plus viewers between Fab Rats and Matt's Off Road Recovery. They performed and filmed the epic rescue. Now all these Ultra Rare 2 cycle Suzuki's, that nobody paid much attention to previously, are coming out of the woodwork. Hopefully this is a new trend for You Tube, rather than spending their energy scolding and demonetizing Banshee Moon.

the only downside to your logic is this was long before operation gold nugget was ever thought of... so this guy wanting to fix up a lj50 has nothing to do with matt, ed or paul.

My comment was simply that AFTER the great recovery, all these other older videos showed up as suggested content for viewers who had NEVER searched up your buddies video previously. In the last week there's been atleast ten other videos show up in the recommended content of these Suzuki's, and Yes most are 5-7 years old, but most people, myself included, never searched for them, never saw them, wasn't even recommended content, until we watched Matt's. So quit trying to twist my comment around to say Matt's was the Only, and your buddies didn't previously exist. Just nobody gave a Crap until the Golden Nugget got rescued. Have a nice day....🤣
I had one of these around 1982, I towed a 6 x4 trailer with 3 guys in the car up to Fraser Island for a week. Top speed on the highway was 80klh. What a fantastic car when on the island, amazing, from memory was about a 550 cc three cylinder 2 stroke engine.
I know of a guy that has 1 of those. He used it to get to his gold claim in the Sierra Nevada's when I got trapped due to a landslide stayed in the same spot for 47 years. He just recently got it recovered. They have some very interesting video on that Ed's LJ20 Here on TH-cam if you're interested

How exciting getting that started after all that time.
First jimny I ever drove was the jeep soft top lj 50 in 1979 loved the 550 cc two stroker.. had to wait 31 year before I bought a jimny and ten year later I still have it as my daily driver its a 2007 3rd gen...would love to find and own a restored lj 50 their fun only do about 60 kph but speed is not important just the coolness of them...love two stroker motors the smokievexhaust was normal..while over those years I did have 3 suzuki motor bikes the TS 100 trail bike. The RG 250 and monster RG 500 but then that's another story.well done bringing you zuk lj 50 back to life..I'm envious and jealous at the same time.

My uncle in law has three. One of these great condition, one soft top with Corolla motor, he owned since new and a spares car.

At 7:20, so that's what goes in that reservoir, 2 cycle oil....... Our neighbor thought it was for antifreeze. No wonder it got towed later that day, never ran again.....🤣😂

I hope you did not confuse people watching about the about the smoke the fact that its a two stroke l remember when these cars came out i am 66 years old and was riding Suzuki two stroke motor cycles at the time

@@Jensonsnotdone Lada, Velorex, Trabant, etc. Lots of Soviet cars were 2-stroke. It was a very practical engine. Dead simple to repair.

sadly i had a parts source but he just sold all of his lj50 stuff. but there is a company in western australia called suzistore that stock lj50 parts

Keep in mind that’s only my second video. I’m a bit of a muso so I like hearing the music. In later videos though I’ve focused more on audio and having the right levels
I wish that the camera hadn't been jerked around so much in the beginning of the video. It was hard to follow.
One can wish, I’ve now got a new camera that has way better stabilisation than that previous camera
