    As Salaamu Alaikum
    Akhi, why do you tell people that they will be able to understand 50% of the Quran after learning 100 words that are used frequently? That's just not true, and it is highly misleading. It takes a great deal more of vocabulary, as well as understanding the style of Quranic Arabic before one is able to grasp the meanings. It is not as simple as you make it seem.

      Walaykum salam. I said you can understand 55% of the words. And at the beginning of the series I clearly mentioned that you need to learn grammar to understand the Quran.

      @khaleedabdul-azeezedwards9523 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ArabicFluency I still disagree with that. I know people who come to me thinking that based off of what you claim that they will be able to understand 50% of the Quran, they won't be able to understand 10% of the Quran. Your statements are very misleading. If a person doesn't grasp the meaning of one word in an ayat it will impede his understanding of the verse. Your statements remind me of the misleading book, Understanding 80% of the words in the Quran. Very misleading and untrue. And Allah knows best.

      @Kokiri86 Allah said that he made the Quran easy to remember. I believe you are referring to Al-Qamar 54:17وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ
      And We have certainly made the Qur’ān easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
      The issue that I have with the brother is not about memorization, but rather with him inferring that a person would be able to understand 80% of the Quran. That's not true. I think that that is very misleading. Remember, memorizing, and understanding are 2 different things. I'm assuming that you don't speak Arabic, and that you don't understand how intense, and deep Quranic Arabic is. Once you start studying Arabic, and Quranic Arabic in particular you will understand what my gripe is with these brothers who promote the notion that if you learn "80%" of the words in Quran that you will have understanding. It's not true. And Allah knows best. May Allah bless us and our families. Ameen
