Here’s the thing about why Rickter hates Quaide/Howser so much . It’s obvious Cohagan ordered /forced him to let his wife Laurie to be arraigned to be married to Quaide to watch him to make sure recall does not happen . And 2 it’s also obvious he is very jealous on how Cohagan really likes Howser as his right hand man as supposed to himself . Richter comes off as a hot Head , impulsive and at times not following orders . I suspect Howser is not One of these and that’s why Cohagan wanted Quaid to be converted back to Howser . Richter seen this as a threat to his standing And wanted him gone for the longest time

Ronny Cox is not a well known actor. However, I have to say he played a pretty scary villain in this film! Also, I really loved how he emphasis when he says the word, “Think!” He should’ve won an academy award for this movie!! 🏆🎭
When Cohaagen points at the chair at 1:29 there was a moment where I was relieved that this wasn’t a “Dr. Evil” conference table where he can push a button and the chair kills the henchman.
Ronny Cox and Michael Ironside are two awesome actors, First saw Ronny in Deliverance and remember him in the great little underrated horror movie, The Beast Within. First saw Michael in another little masterpiece, Scanners. And in Starship Troopers and Top Gun, the dude was aces. Love these two guys. This scene is just great as was the entirety of Total Recall. These guys deserve a lot of credit for making Total Recall a total blast.

I thought this was going to be a funny edit where Cohaagen is very happy and not angry, but I'm not disappointed because I still got to see a great scene from a great film.
It's too bad Terry O'quinn and Ronny Cox were never in a bad-buddy cop movie together. The one-liners and verbal ass-kickings would have been truly extraordinary.
