      Here are a few points that Mr. Shekman neglected to mention about how terrible Gold & Silver are as investments.
      Firstly, the spreads charged to buy those metals are astronomically high. For example, today the spot price is $25 an oz, but a 1oz Silver Eagle sells on Kitco today for $34, marking a 27% spread. This premium disappears when you try to sell back. An investor in that silver would need the price to move UP 30% JUST TO BREAK EVEN. Indeed, Mr. Shekman certainly 'pays himself first,' as he emphasized in the interview.
      Next, Bitcoin's success is demonetizing precious metals, as Michael Saylor rightly points out. The edge buyer in any market sets the price, and that edge buyer is moving to Bitcoin, draining the monetary premium from them. Silver now has a total market cap smaller than BTC. Also, while Skekman mentions the government price suppression of Gold/silver, he doesn't mention how effective it's been. Silver was $50 in 2011. Today it's $25.
      Now adjust those 'returns' for 13 years of inflation, and your purchasing power is destroyed, making it the WORST possible investment of ANY asset. Moreover, when Wall Street Silver sent the price slightly higher a few years back, the CFTC responded by simply reseting margin requirements higher and instantly broke the price run.
      Imagine every time BTC started to run higher, the government jumped in to smash the price. Investors want to make money, not fight city hall.
      I won't even get into the benefits of BTC vs. the monetary metals, but it it is interesting that his business started selling Swiss financial products, and then shifted to precious metals. if I were to guess, the reason for this is that gold and silver are the purview of unsophisticated investors, who don't necessarily understand investing, and don't see how they're being taken advantage of by the spread of all the other monkey business in the market. Sadly, these people people don't have a lot of money to lose. So while I believe in free speech - I don't necessarily think individuals like this guy, or Peter Schiff, should continue to be given platforms by bitcoiners to spread their fud or taught their awful 'investments' as they do end up wrecking a lot of beginners who would be better just buying and holding bitcoin. (of even the S&P for that matter).
      Thanks, and sorry for the long post, but I don't want anyone watching this to understand what they're getting into if they decided to buy gold or silver.

    As a newbie about to invest, you must have these four things in mind
    1. Have a long term mindset.
    2. Be willing to take risk.
    3. Be careful on money usage, if you're not spending to earn back, then stop spending.
    4. Never claim to know - Ask questions and it's best you work with a financial advise like Rolando Diaz..

    The Treasury Dept. isn't pursuing CBDC because of any inherernt stability; it's purely about control. It's programability lets them tie it to a social credit score the way China has.

    • @HerrschmannNachmann
      @HerrschmannNachmann 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The power of CBDC is its transparency. Status of all resources within the system available in real time and the collected data of trends. Feed it all into an AI powered system, optimize the usage, the allocation of all resources and bring the economic system onto a new level based on the CBDC-provided data. China will do it - so: TINA.
      PS: I doubt that people would accept a "Social Credit System" so I do not fear it. ... implementing it would be possible today anyways - the power given by control over the SWIFT and ordinary banking and credit card business is enough to go this way if required / would have a chance to lead to sth that is beneficial ...

    • @Zmasterflash
      @Zmasterflash 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s true only if the NWO proponents are in control. A CBDC is based on blockchain technology and every transaction is audited. With good people in control, human sex and drug trafficking could be brought to a halt. It’s why the bankers don’t want it since they are involved in massive crimes beyond metals manipulation. Add drugs, prostitution and other crimes that hurt civilization. It could be used for fair audited elections worldwide! It’s like a gun. Do guns kill or evil people? Guns can be used for good and have for centuries so people could feed their families, protect one’s family , etc. Blockchain is not evil. It’s using it like the Chinese do that’s evil. Carbon credit scores, forcing vaccines, attack on freedom of speech in social media.

    Andy is a true class act and was in a very respectful way, trying to get Natalie to understand that all eggs in one basket is never a good thing. She seems very resistant to physical assets, which have stood the test of time and SHOULD NOT be blamed for all we see with regards to dedollarization that is playing out before us. Gold and silver are not the enemies, however narrow minded souls who only believe there is one path to hope and prosperity are. What happens to your bitcoin - that you don't actually own... when the power goes out? Cyber attacks are a real thing. If you don't hold it Natalie, you don't own it. As Andy stated, why be at war with Gold and Silver when their should be a marriage between the crypto and physical assets. And with regards to your wealth, when would you see yourself needing to transport it all over the place? There will always be some form of reliance on a third party, whether that be electricity or a physical asset.

      Totally intentional which ties to selling our strategic oil reserve down to 17%, and selling much of it to China 🇨🇳??? Biden’s ties to China. Mitch McConnell’s ties to China! It’s all a plan to reduce the US standard of living. I personally heard about 15 years ago at the Princeton Club in Manhattan, a Federal Reserve Governor say, “it’s not fair that the U.S. has a higher standard of living than the rest of the world!” Understanding that the FED is not part of our government but a consortium of Bankers, many European, it all makes sense! Think WEF, “we’ll own nothing and be happy.”

    When we started buying metals, the one thing making me reluctant to pull the trigger was i felt most of the metal dealers acted like car salesmen. I have a classic MBA and worked many years in international environment, but when I spoke with lots of these gold dealers, I realized I knew more than they did. I felt like they were scamming me. Andy S and his team were different and super honest. A few years ago maybe 3-4 years, I heard Andy speaking with Mike Adams and how the spot price works and why he doesn’t spend customers money on advertising! Andy is always the smartest guy in the room. I would highly recommend Miles Franklin! Good luck and you need to grow food..have security plan! So you can sleep well.

      Bitcoin's not much good in an emergency situation, power grid or no. It doesn't have enough credibility or adoption to be used "as-is" without conversion to fiat. If you can't even do that due to a power outage ... well, like I said, don't count on it in an emergency

    I’m 64. Gold sucks. $800 - $900/oz in early 80’s. Fell to $250. Went nowhere for 30-40 years. Now it’s finally holding above $2000. So $800 to $2250 in 40 years. Meanwhile almost any big tech company is up 10,000% or more. Own great companies. Gold is a joke.

      Gold beats my 401K by 3X...i did some detailed math and figured out how much physical gold i would have right now, if i would've just bought gold coins instead of feeding my 401K for the last 35 years...i would be 3X better off right now (gold prices, taxes, inflation, everything figured into it). All of the plans are scams.

    I need to chime in again because I loved this interview so much! I'm delighted to hear that Mark & Natalie orange pilled Andy. And kudos to Andy to have an open mind to be orange pilled. I find it amazing that he said that he now has 1/3 of his portfolio in bitcoin. I hope it's in cold storage! Way to go Natalie and way to go Andy!

    • @aklimar2208
      @aklimar2208 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I don't think he was saying he converted 1/3 of his portfolio to Bitcoin. That's fairly extreme considering the business Andy is in. It's more likely he meant he's started dividing his *new* purchases into 1/3 gold, 1/3 silver, 1/3 Bitcoin

    • @fazdoll

      Andy has been buying gold and silver every two weeks for the past 30 years. 18 years ago he sold almost everything -- including his house -- to buy silver at $9 and then sold that silver at $42, a 450% return In other words, Andy is FILTHY RICH. He could probably put all his new investing into BTC and not care if BTC goes to zero. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if he's buying Bitcoin for the sole purpose of sounding sincere about it on a bunch of new channels. He's already saturated all the gold channels and he wants a new audience.

    The reason oil fell to-$40.00 a barrel was that at that time all the oil storage facilities were FULL. Ships were stacking up waiting for storage to come available. It cost $200,000 per day to wait for each ship. It was cheaper to pay someone to take the oil than it was to wait a week to 10 days.
