Great video, I get over to visit Fort Myers Beach often, and will keep on going back there. Lots to do and a real fun beach atmosphere for all ages and all types of people.

Nice place to visit ... but the traffic getting across the bridge sucks . Took over an hour to get to the condo ( 3 miles or so )

Must still be a place that people want to be! If you head there early or late it is fine. Plus, it's only during "season", like many coastal vacation spots that are isolated. The Hamptons on Long Island in summer for instance.

MSPARKS -- Nine months out of every year there are no delays. The three months you complain about traffic are the three months everyone wants to visit. Come down in August! 93 degrees with a chance of a hurricane! Beaches are empty though!

Ft Myers Beach ---NO WAY--- go south to Bonita of Naples. This water was a black gray color all summer.

Had a house here for years fantastic place. Then they doubled the taxes for non locals and banned foreigners from owning cars. We sold up and left as did many others. Any regrets now I wonder?

Red Coconut park is hidden secret, hope it stays there.

Red Coconut is a run down RV park. The only restaurants within walking distance are a Chinese take out, a so so pizza place and a WAY overpriced fish restaurant (great service though).

@FrickenhausenRocks - I used to own a house on the beach. They may have changed the law back again but they banned foreigners from owning vehicles in Florida after 9/11. So YOU check your facts.
Fort Myers Beach went down hill with drugs and violence which is also why I sold up and left. I remember even going for a drink down by the beach with my elderly parents. You are now taking you life in your hands to stop for a beer there. It's two years since I sold up but I'm sure it ain't changed.

There is not a Fort Myers Beach culture here. The Northern end is very tourist oriented and the southern end basically permanent condos and homes that include a lot of rich attitudes. More power to them! Some of them earned it.
