We got to talking, much like you are now with the shepherd. And yes, I still remember that Brit to this day. But why I haven’t forgotten him, I really don’t know..."
Thank you for sharing this. I hope the he remembers me, but I don't know why. Perhaps it the serendipity of it, the chance encounter when really I had just stopped for a break without knowing there were sheep grazing only a few meters away, and beyond them, their shepherd.
@@projectbiker You could send a printed photo (a still from the film) of the village near the shepherd to the mayor, asking them to find the shepherd and pass the photo on to him. In a few weeks, the photo will reach the shepherd, who will be delighted and remember you 'forever.' But is it really important?
Hey Nick, loving the new sock colour 💚it’s your achievements that are now inspiring others as you had been, another wonderful personal journey shared, thanks for sharing 🙌🏼😎good to see you at Bikeshed too 👍🏼
Another great video of your biking adventures, you are an inspiration to others 👍 Last May & June I did a very similar route Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro although I tend to plan my own routes. In May 2025 I will start from Venice and then trail ride through the top of Italy cross into Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece and then take the ferry back to Venice
Happy New Year buddy!!...thanks again for the journey. Look at Bosnia now, an adventure of beauty, a place to reflect, yet men can tarnish a countries legacy, let's hope that stays forever in the past!..👍👍👍
Wow fantastic i could listen to your story telling all day. Ive been riding dirtbikes since the age of 9 and competed up to the age of 48 im now in to adventure bikes and have done a lot of tet uk and act pyrenees but watching your content inspires me to do more, much more, i can see your channel becoming huge 💪 Keep the content coming 👌
9 to 48 is impressive! Kudos to you. I love hearing about people being inspired to do more - if you want to figure out where to go next feel free to reach out to me on instagram.
@projectbiker I've booked the ferry to santander June for the act portugal and northern Spain tet loop and can't wait..... can't wait for your next episode too 😀
Love your story telling, that really makes you stand out from all the other guys - and most of them have so many more followers than you! No doubt your channel will grow quickly. This being said, keep it simple, keep it down to who you truly are, that’s where the value is. Looking forward to the next one as usual.
Great job on the filming and story telling! 7 days London to Bosnia on the TET is incredible! Took me over a month to get to Romania from York on the TET, another month to ride the Balkan TETs.
Thank you! I think 7 days is way too fast but I knew that part of the world was special and wanted to skip everything in between. I prefer your method!
I think it looks great. She's doing a great job ❤️! It always takes some getting used to the first time (it was the same for me). A friend of mine also has a TH-cam channel with around 70,000 subscribers... it's weird to see yourself like that 🤭.
Good to see another video. When I seen you going through Bosnia, I wondered where you would travel. Yes parts of Bosnia look really nice with the mountains and the houses on them. I can remember now, looking at them in the winter in -20. thinking it looks beautiful but it cold. i've been to Mostar, Banja Luka, Sipovo. Once a week I used to drive from Sipovo to Split in a old Landrover which took all day lol. many thanks for this video, I look forward to your next one.
@@projectbiker when i was in sipovo in 97, i was only 22 years old and i remember that we wasn't allow to work outside, due to the cold. it was defo cold. I lived in a factory with no heating and inside the factory, there were tents as accomindation. The olds days of work.
Another great episode, always a pleasure to follow along and see your hard work and spirit to keep exploring shining through. I’m sure you’ve made your parents proud. Ideas are like a spark in the wind, waiting to catch the tinder of what can be…
I like so much your way to mix an adventure with the personal life...I see some dfferences between previous videos, due probably your improved director's attitude or simply because your are changing along your journey that will be a pleasure follow it
I'm interested to hear about what kind of differences you've noticed. I feel like I've made progress from before but it is always interesting to hear how it is received as it's never quite how I expect it!
@@projectbiker technical progress can certainly be seen. you also added first-person narratives when you're not on the bike during breaks, inserted your mom,s comments..what doesn't change is the intimate setting with which you tell your story. So I think you manage to give voice to the thoughts that many of us have inside our helmets during long motorbike rides
Brilliant video I love the way you said will this man forget me 😢but life’s short do I risk buying a motorbike I’ve done my cBT but would like to do green laining
Well that's an easy question - yes! Especially if you plan to go green laning as there is much less risk there with not being around lots of cars. Reach out to me on instagram if you'd like any support.
Mostar is indeed scorching hot during the summer, and it's a shame you couldn't experience the TET leading to Mostar and beyond. Climbing the mountains of Bosnia is undoubtedly the highlight of the Bosnian TET. However, given the heat and quite challenging trails to get there, it was probably a wiser choice to take the road instead! Maybe next time :)
Such lovely scenery shots. And again, the deep thought provoking narrative... Love it. Did you find out what the explosion was? Or decided not to dwell on it too much? :)
I never found it for sure, but I believe it was a controlled explosion used for mining. Pretty scary when I didn't know what it was, and after seeing all those bomb craters...
@@projectbiker Exactly! The buildup with the mine field warning, the craters and the remains of the beaten up tank, were like a staged prelude to big explosion. What a script!
@@projectbikerno worries. I know comments help I’m preparing to release the series with Steff and I spending a month in Tanzania and I’ve got a question. I’m just intrigued because I’ve got editing fatigue at the moment 😂 I suspect I’m extremely slow which I suspect contributes to editing fatigue! How long dies each episode take you to edit?
I'm planning to start my trip around Australia in April at age 75, what will I be thinking about on those long and lonely roads, what could have been, what should have been, but what is. I started my trip in 1970, now I'm going to finish it. I'll keep you in mind as I leave the many miles behind me.

Another great film with film, music and narrative that works so well together .
Delighted to hear it fits together, thank you.
I’m glad I found your channel. I think your dad would be proud of your videography skills. Your audio production is also top notch.
Thank you! It takes a long time to get right but I feel it is worth it.
