  • We've been testing the Wing Drifter from KT, a compact all around amazing wing foil board!
    Get yours here: wingfoilprocenter.com/collect...
    The Wing Drifter features a fuller outline for an easier take off and increased stability when in the air.
    KT signature quad concave bottom with beveled rails for the smoothest touchdown and fastest release when foiling.
    Rail shape/tuck for quick paddling and fast release to take flight.
    The bigger sizes of the Wing Drifter are uncompromisingly dedicated to Wing-foiling and Sup-foiling. Its key characteristic also being a super compact build paired with a high volume and wide shape.
    Constant volume flow provides enough float and stability to get going with a wing, yet doesn’t feel bulky or cumbersome in flight when wanting to turn or pump.
    We also love that the new KT boards now come packed in recycled cardboard and paper tape only. No plastic bags. Keeping your planet, our planet, one step cleaner. We figured it’s a worthy trade off, as our love for foiling and the planet only grows.
    Ultra Carbon Monocoque Construction.
    Available in 34, 38, 42, 50, 56, 62, 72, 80, 90, 105, 115, 130, 155 liters.
    Comes with the latest generation MFC footstraps.

    Thanks for all the positive messages and great content!!! To add a review here, I have had the 62L since the release. I am 190lbs. It does come off the water in light winds really well, but then rips like a smaller board in the waves due to really great swing weight balance. The board has been 2 total months on trips across the pacific and has logged many flights and still looks like the day I bought it. With so many competing designs its hard to say what works "best", but these boards will improve your winging when you are ready to size into your final board. This is the only board that I wing...no more trying to decide if I should sink start the prone board to have good performance, or go to a larger board on light days. It checks all the boxes.

    I’m a big fan of KT Drifter wing boards, I have 3. My first actual wing board was the 5’6 105L, down from my 6’4 SUP foil board. Big change in performance and the foot straps also helped me increase control and carving angles. Jumping became an option that I have enjoyed as well. Next was 6’ 130L for travel so I could use it for SUP foiling and winging. And lastly, my 5’2 80L, V-strap up front and single in the back. Knee starts were never easy, but I’ve gotten much better and love the performance of this board. I’m 93L and 55 years old, with angry knees and so thankful my buddy introduced me to this sport. Heal side tack is my favorite turn, heal side Heineken jibe favorite jibe. Hopefully going to be windy Wednesday/Thursday for my next sessions at my local lake in central California. Love the stoke you all put into winging.

    I am 6'3 110kg newbie (30 sessions in), and a shop recommended a Wing Drifter as a good beginner board. In my case, the 160liter was recommended. I thought they were crazy, but it's been a fantastic board to learn on, and I dont mind the extra size even as I'm progressing, foiling regularly now learning jibes. If there are any other Big Dawgz out there, this is a really good option.

    Are there any plans to review the new wings coming out for 2024 especially for light wind in the 6/7/8 range there are so many new ones its hard to decide on weight vs power? Love u guys by the way!

    Hello guys, super vidéo, love it. Perfect timing as I look to replace my Tabou pocket air 5’8 98L for a smaller board. I am 75kg and was thinking 72L or 80L drifter. I am intermediate wingfoiler progressing slowly as I am doing also wind and kite with and without foil depending wind condition and tide. What would you recommend?

      @DamienLeroyYouTube  ปีที่แล้ว

      72L might be a big jump but the 80L will be a nice step down. Always hard to say with out seeing someones level and how they ride. An 80L is still a good jump from 98L. wingfoilprocenter.com/collections/frontpage/products/kt-wing-drifter-board?variant=45074606457136

      Yes the KT Wing Drifter works great with Armstrong foils! The 115L is definitely a great size to learn 👌 wingfoilprocenter.com/collections/gear-of-the-month/products/kt-wing-drifter-board

    Hey guys, I scored a wicked deal on a 30L surf foil board with a cabrinha 1600 fusion on it. I weigh 100kg and I’m curious what are the odds I’ll be able to learn to wing on that board? Don’t have the cash to fork out for a bigger board yet but can justify a wing. I’ve been surfing for 5+ years and kiting for almost 2.
    I can stand on the board underwater effortlessly squatted or fully upright. Get the wind or wait to get a bigger board at the same time?
    Also can dock start and surf the wake on my seadoo no issues on foil

      I think if you can foil no problem you should be able to get a wing and learn on that board, you will just need enough wind for sure! Check out our shop and feel free to reach out with any question, we can help you pick exactly what you need! wingfoilprocenter.com (we do price match guarantee)

    Is the KT track compatible with a Slingshot Phantasm foil? Also, what is the difference between the KT and the regular Wing Drifter?

    • @DamienLeroyYouTube
      @DamienLeroyYouTube  ปีที่แล้ว

      The foil track on the board is universal so it works with any foil brands, and it’s long enough to accommodate any foil position.
      The Wing Drifter model used to be a Quatro model, but the brands merged under a same umbrella recently and the Wing Drifter is now a KT model.

    Well what you are doing wrong.. You are not testing the 56L! ;) Especially when talking about boards in the sweetspot. The 56L with 5'4 length is longer and that makes it such an easy board to get on to the foil! Just checkout my review about his one ;) But seriously, the KT Wing Drifter range is really good. Since I have the 56L, this my go 2 board in all conditions (and I'm 85kg) It does look like you Florida Ocean is bit less choppy which makes the 62 not such a bad choice ;)
