Which birds have the strangest scents?

  • We think of birds as having excellent vision and hearing. Up until recently, it was believed that birds had poor olfactory capabilities. After all, there didn't seem to be much use for a developed sense of smell. We now know this is not the case. I talked about this in a recent video if you're interested in learning more.

    I love the way my parrot smells. Kinda like an old clean blanket that's been sitting in an unused guest room for years...that's my take on it at least lol

    Amazing facts 😮 ... Several Hoepoes migrate in Summer in some of our regions of 🇨🇭 . And no one here seems to know about the scent they carry 😅. I guess a bad odor may be a repellent for enemies in the animal kingdom 👍.
