    I am buying these. Thanks for showing the chart in the manual, that was actually helpful.
    I always had zero issues with Conti tires. GP5000 have been indestructible(even finding glass deflected under pressure by the Vectran layer) for me(zero punctures in over 2 years - on Schwalbe had punctures every ~2 months) and wear in about 1.5 years, so I'm sticking to Conti tires for gravel as well :)

      Thanks for sharing, they've been holding up real well and the Terra Trail have a little more tread than the Terra Speed.

    7:17 those numbers are actually the DOT showing the tires were manufactured on week 25 of 2019.

    Ok, so this video was made 2 years ago.
    How are the tires holding up?

      Real good but I only ride easy gravel and fire roads. No sharp rocks.

    Once I get my bike finished I'm am going to try a WTB Nano rear and a Terra Trail for the front. I'm just now finding out that my wheels are wider than optimal for 40mm tires (26mm internal) so I'll be curious to see how things work out on the trail.

      Wow that is a wide internal rim width even for CX. If it's too wide then the tread might not wrap around the sides of the tires, compromising cornering grip. Good luck with your project.

      @@pedalpowercycling That's what I'm afraid of now. Seems like the 24-25mm wheels are becoming fairly standard these days for gravel and maybe 26mm are a tad too far. Maybe ultimately I should be looking more towards the 42mm+ realm for these wheels. I already have the tires and can't return them to I'm not quite sure. After fitting a nano to another wheel (25mm internal) I think the side of the tread is now basically center tread. The Terra Trail looked like they fit better in this scenario.

    All Conti bike tires are made in Germany (Korbach) where also the motorbike tires are made. They cooperate in R&D with each other. That is true German technology and craftsmanship.

      No, not all . The expensive highend black chilli compound tires are made in Germany but the much cheaper Terra Trail pure grip compound for example are made in China...

    Was it hard to mount the tyres onto the rims?

    • @pedalpowercycling
      @pedalpowercycling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope, not on my Hed Belgium plus rims. However, my light bicycle rim is a little tougher to fit tires onto and I haven't tried that one with this tire. So your experience will vary depending on your rim choice.

    what tire pressure do you run these on?

    • @pedalpowercycling
      @pedalpowercycling  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      40psi gauge pressure, however your pressure may differ due to a number of factors such as if you have a tire insert, width of rims, terrain, total weight of system, etc.

    How are they holding up?

    • @pedalpowercycling
      @pedalpowercycling  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very well. No flats yet, knock on wood. I'm running them tubeless on my cross/gravel bike. The extra material may help it wear less than the faster / lighter version.

    Would the 650b version be lighter?
