  • On April 14th 2024 I took on the Jersey City Marathon - my third marathon ever to run sub 2:50:00 and Qualify for the Boston Marathon. 14 weeks of training led to this moment here. Couldnt do any speed work for 10 of those 14 weeks because of a slightly herniated disc in my lower back. As many of you know, to get faster you need to be doing speed work - all this led to the question, is this even possible?
In 14 weeks the most amount of miles I ran was 50. I still strength-trained 5 days a week and was able to gain weight during this process.
Learned a lot during this prep about myself. I don't regret a thing.
Any questions regarding training or anything like that LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS

Man that 2:50:30 is so far ahead of what most people can do, it is a dream pace. I struggled to get below 3:30, never did. You have many marathons head of you. I think the 3 hour barrier is much more visible, anything below 3 hours is superhuman territory.

My piece of advice is always shoot for the ambitious goal because even if you fall short, you accomplished so much more along the way

Do you plan on making more TH-cam vids? I think you have the potential to draw in a lot of people to your channel if you did day in the life vids and daily training vlogs!
