As for why it landed here vs. going back to CVG... I suspect they wanted to burn off fuel anyway to reduce landing weight as much as possible and it keeps their cargo on schedule. No real difference either way, no reason not to continue on to destination.
I thought about the cargo piece and MSP really not being that far from CVG but didn't think about burning off fuel to reduce landing weight, that makes sense, thanks
They're operating the CVG-MSP route on behalf of DHL now. It seems to bounce between different carriers on a fairly regular basis here - just switched from iAero.

I do not know much about it yet, I only heard Mesa decided to get into the cargo business about 4 months ago
