I never knew the engine in this legend was mounted transversely. I wonder what kind of cars will come about in the impending F1 split from the FIA? (😅) They should go back to cars like these. The Championship White on bronze should be a special livery for Aston in Suzuka '26...or RBR this year in Suzuka with it being their final year together with Honda.

Honda had made a number of improvements to the car late in the 1965 season, such as repositioning the engine to lower the center of mass. With its powerful V-12 engine and low polar moment from the short wheelbase, I think it's likely Honda would have won some more races in 1966.
I was born in 1964 and only heard of this car since the internet became a thing. I don't see how it was allowed to compete even then. That 30mm [at most] roll bar was considered adequate? Also, when Sato sits in the car his helmet is higher than the roll bar.
