So glad you're taking part in #FeastInAJar23! I appreciate your voice & down to earth approach to canning & cooking. This is absolutely a recipe I will can. I've loved Sweet & Sour Chicken since I worked at a Chinese restaurant while in high school. Thanks for sharing❣️
Your sweet and sour jars look so pretty! I just love sweet and sour chicken!! I will make this for sure! In pints because I live alone. You make watching so fun, I’m not a perfect worker in the kitchen. I will have things that don’t go smoothly. Thanks for making it look fun! I always like to see what you’re up to. Cooking or canning or baking. Always looks tasty and fun.
I’ll be adding this to my canning list! I’m always looking for new ways to can chicken. I love all your videos….your voice is so soothing, I look forward to them.
Yum! Yes, I am also mostly an ingredient canner BUT... it is sure handy to have a few different meals ready-to-go that aren't soups or stews per se. I would like to try this recipe with pork as well. And I love the variety of pepper colors and flavors, rather than just green. Pints will be perfect for me, although I do wish the pint-and-a-half jars would come back onto the market. Anyway, thanks so much for sharing this. It is definitely on my list now! 😋💖
Renee, this fellow ingredient canner is going to be canning this recipe! Yum! What a delicious, easy meal! Thanks for the tip about adding fresh peppers when making it for a meal to add crunch. I love your canning videos. 🎉
Loved the color of this canning project, before the canner bleached it out. I like the color of your sauce, it’s not so dark that it colors the chicken dark so you can’t see the pretty bell peppers. I have the ingredients on my table and the rest on the fridge. Hopefully I’ll get this canned today in small jars because I live alone. I do want to make some tomato infused thick type of sweet and sour sauces I found on pintarest after the meat is done. Thanks for your video!
Oh wow… so delicious looking!!! I can’t find the pint and a half size jars in the store anymore either! I grab every one I find used though! Great tip baking the chicken in the oven! Looks easier than pan frying or boiling. I had to giggle when the jar put out too much black pepper, lol.
I love watching your videos. You are so natural. This chicken looks wonderful. Can I substitute Allulose brown sugar for the brown sugar? Will it can differently due to being sugar free option?
I bet that would be good with pork too. I wonder if I could leave out the sugar and then when I open it up add allulose. I’m diabetic and don’t want to add sugar. The pineapple and its juice would already add a significant amount of fructose.
My grown kids would like this..great meal in a jar😊
It is so convenient Ronda!
Looks delicious! Sweet and Sour Chicken is one of favorites!
Oh my goodness Renee. That looks absolutely amazing. Got my next canning recipe. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤

Great sounding recipe. I need to get things out of the freezer so this looks like a good way to do it.

Will make this often to keep my pantry always stocked. This recipe looks delicious.
Fabulous!
This looks delicious.
I’ve done that before with my spices too. I now tape the larger hole so I don’t do that again.🥰
Good idea!

That was a oops but thankfully there was enough chicken to spread it lol
Sounds so good, and they’re beautiful, too.

Hope you like it!
I just made this. Looks and smells so good!!
The house smelled amazing!!! I’m so glad you tried it!
I love watching your videos. You are so natural. This chicken looks wonderful. Can I substitute Allulose brown sugar for the brown sugar? Will it can differently due to being sugar free option?
I am not sure. I know stevia and Splenda can be used since the heat doesn’t make them bitter. I have not tried either yet. Thank you so much!!
I don’t like bell peppers what is a good substitute, thank you it looks delicious
You could use carrots or just leave them out
I bet that would be good with pork too. I wonder if I could leave out the sugar and then when I open it up add allulose. I’m diabetic and don’t want to add sugar. The pineapple and its juice would already add a significant amount of fructose.
You can do both of those changes 😊
TH-cam won't let me give you a thumbs up. 😮 I will give you this one instead. ❤👍
I wonder why not? Weird. Lol. Thank you very much
Can you make sweet and sour pork with this same recipe?
You can!! Even beef if you wanted. But pork tastes good
@@pikecreekfarm Awesome, Thank You! I'm looking forward to trying this.
