this was a right laugh, but tom shows up at the shed holding a bean bag again he's not coming in haha
All I want to know is how high your sugar cube tower was
So no bean bag related projects then?

Oh Steven- I had high hopes- was expecting you to stack a half dozen in tenkai palm position and just glide them onto the table- using thumb and pointer to guide the line. :)
Sugarcube tower: oh
I only clicked the video because you were on the thumbnail, and I thought "Hold up my fav magician and my fav linguistic know each other??"
I wish we could have seen how the others did on the dominos even though they were eliminated.
Yea what?? Literally the contestants asked how Saf got done so fast and I wanted to know too! Only to be let down and not see any of their attempts..
@@slashess69 You mean apart from the bottom of the screen where you can see the other players? I think Will means seeing the players that were eliminated by the team.
A "behind the scenes" or "extended" version of this video would be nice. so they can show the eliminated/other players attempts
I came to the comments section to say exactly this.
@@slashess69 It can be done even faster by dropping dominos in front of you close to the line, using both hands to build a line, in order not to mess things up sit closer to the finish line.

Reminded me a bit of Taskmaster this. Good stuff, really enjoyed it.
Especially the tower task. It's just like the one with boxes in the newest series and the bridge task too.
i was instantly looking for loopholes because of taskmaster - i swear they never said you couldn’t move the pencils in the last round
@@lucymariposa don't think it ever said you couldn't use something to store the pencils either. You could've used a paintbox or something.
I love taskmaster!!!!
@@oliverbaker2601 3:00 "But at the end of the minute they must be held off the table using just one hand; no other objects, no other parts of your body"
I'd say there should be a bonus point for being the best for a category (if they build the tallest sugarcube tower, one bonus point, this might necessitate having more than 7 opponents).
The final round, when eliminating opponents, the contestants have a decent chance of making it harder for themselves based on who they eliminated. This may be intentional.
The audience should learn how well all the opponents did during the final task. I wanted to know if they made the right decision for who they eliminated.
Well if that happens, 1 + 2 + 3 points + 3 = 9 points, which is more than the total of 7 other people. Which means they can eliminate everybody. If they eliminate everybody they instantly win £50.00. Which is not fun.
Agreed about knowing how well they did at picking people to eliminate. Did they keep the fastest domino layer, or did they get the slowest three? Or somewhere in between?
@@factsverse9957 So maybe a different reward for Besting the panel instead of a bonus point. What about getting to know the result for one person per Best on the final round before deciding on who to eliminate?
@@SVNBob maybe an extra 100 pence for best in category? though that may blow the budget.
@@factsverse9957 the easy solution would be to fight against the average of 10 people.
Slow down, Tom! Don't blow the seasons budget on the second episode, how would you do the "mighty might or not" game on episode 5 if you go bankrupt?
It'll be like the old Dr Who...half the series is going to have to be filmed in a quarry, because the budget's gone.
Pook365
Actually, I was thinking more like the game show version of Evangelion's last few episodes.
Two episodes, one with slightly higher budget. Enough datapoints to extrapolate that this will be the most expensive show on earth by the end of the next century.

I’m above average
-everyone
I like to think that everyone is above average in at least one thing
The vast majority of people have more than the average number of legs; the majority of the remainder have more than the average number of arms. That leaves a small minority to find other ways they're above average for...
@@rmsgrey Clever, but you shouldn't average integer numbers like that it makes no sense to say that the average human has 1.98 arms and 1.92 legs.
@@kuro13wolf
No more than saying that the average family has 2.4 children, but that's how statistics work - if it makes you feel better, you can read the statement as "if you counted all the legs of all humans, and divided by the number of humans, most humans have more than that number of legs."
@@rmsgrey "most humans have more than that number of legs" that is incorrect. It would be true for the median but not the average. There could be a single human having bilions of arms bringing the average above 2, while nobody but this single person has more than 2 arms.
Tom, I believe it's irresponsible for you to continue to make such interesting videos at such a rate, it's quite bothersome when I'm working on something and I'm disrupted by a notification from you, I'm forced to make time for the inevitable enjoyment that your video will bring. I hope in the future you will be more considerate and only upload during times in which I can readily receive these videos. Thanks for your understanding.

@@NoNameAtAll2 Well see that's the issue, you're only thinking about yourself
The supply is higher than the demand, Tom.
No but seriously how much did Saf pull up that average?
This show has a running problem of not revealing the "what could have been" results. This episode we wanted to see some of the shitty TH-camr results, and most of all the domino runs - I bet there were a couple of flops in there!
Would have loved to see the other players domino times who were eliminated, to see who was the fastest and compare.
But love the show! I wanna try some of these!
But how did the other four do on dominoes!? How wise was their elimination choices? (Or just knowing what place among the seven each of the three did)
Shoulda eliminated saf
To be honest, tom could single-handedly make a gameshow given the budget.
Oh, several.
He literally couldn't. Tom is just the presenter here
A real test of friendship is to see how 3 friends divide 10, 20 or 50 pounds among each other fairly.

I’m really liking this game garage format
Bloody love this!
Tom, your love of Taskmaster is showing.
Seriously. But then, if you're going to make a knock-off (a quality knock-off, and just different enough to be still unique), knock off one of the best.
And I am curious as to how many times Taskmaster was brought up or referenced during all 8 recording sessions.
saf did well on everything...why wouldn't they remove him?
Presumably thought a tech reviewer would be steady with his hands, but not quick.
Great video guys, loved it! A few things stood out to me in terms of editing, take it for what you will. There were a few instances where something was referenced and it didn't come full circle. The one that pops into mind was in the setup for the domino challenge, the editing made it seems like Em had already been eliminated from the picks, but then in the end they chose someone else. Basically it seems like we missed some of the conversation there that would have made it more clear. Either way, just a few of those little things, but loved it overall!
Based on this and the last episode, the prize tiers are always ten, twenty, or fifty thousand pence. Since the team this time scored exactly four points they had three competitors at the end, and the prize tiers were simply defined by the number of people they beat. This leads me to wonder: what would the prize tiers have been based on if they had scored a different number of points in the main game?
One change. Obviously, the other 7 were filmed for the final task regardless of if they were chosen or not. I would have loved to see if they had made the right choice in eliminating people. Saf apparently was one they should have removed; and from what I saw in the various videoes, I probably would have kept Em, or Steven in.
Still; this was great, would love to see more.
So pleased to see Barry competing, my favorite worlds collide again!
I absolutely love these game shows you do. Much more interesting than most you get on TV.
Saliva is useful because it makes sugar sticky, and sticky is stable.
Sure, but might have taken too long to apply. Though if just building straight up might work
@@Taran858 one lick press and be careful, most of them got 3 chances to build in the time, so it would have made it perfect I'd imagine
A tip for making it better would be in the last game, after they have eliminated people you would say if the average is now higher or lower.
I would have liked to know if the elimination choices at the end were correct.
love that currently, Cambria and Guy are producers working with Tom!
I love the __thousand pence gimmick, it feels like something uni students would do.
Feedback: I want to know if Saf was the fastest of the dominoes. It would be nice to know if the players picked the correct choice of players to go against.
"472"
"Wrong Number"
"F**k you!"
that was amazing lmao
Absolutely love these game shows, thanks for all of the effort you put in Tom
I've been binging Taskmaster recently, so this is phenomenal!
Tell me, Tom: how many times did you have to bleep Hannah?
This was a fun game, but it was unfortunate to have so many fantastic creators joining in, only for us to barely see them
"you can use the sugar cubes and your body to construct the tower"
...so you can just hold a sugar cube high up? using your body as part of the tower?
Or you could be holding it up when the time ends?
You mustn't be touching the tower with any of your body at the end. Makes me think you probably have to immediately remove al of your saliva as well when the timer ends.
I can't believe no network has approached you for a game show or to produce one.
Switching the angle at sugar cube stacking was honestly an absolutely genius move, it gave so much stability
This was amazing, I loved the format of seeing other peoples attempt in a kind of TaskMaster-ish way. Was really entertaining!
Hi. Miss your content.
If almost everyone thinks they're above average, aren't they just average?
No because they still think they are above average
Not if it’s almost
not if they're above average in different ways
Honestly this is still a good point, because a lot of us probably would like to think that we would win all three of these, and while that might be true, it can't be true for everyone because about half of people would fail. Although then again this IS only a sample size of 7...
@@OrangeC7 As you say, it is a small sample size so it's possible for anomalies to skew the results. For the sugar cubes, for example, I was entirely confident they'd won after hearing their result and the max and min results. SB's value was just too low for them to not be above average.
Can we see all attempts at raw dominoes please?
The amount of effort, preparation, and quality is fantastic. This series deserves more attention.
Please have Geoff Marshall in the next one
YEEE
Geoff and Jay foreman would make it really tense if they could both do it.
also David Johns from Cruising the Cut.

How did I know the bean bag counting game was going to be in multiples of 7? The biggest prime under 10. I smell a conspiracy! :P
Ahhh the good old days when we were allowed to hang out with friends all in the same garage.
"you can only use the cubes and your body to assemble the tower" my lawful evil side is whispering me that they could just stand up with a raised arm and a cube on their hand...
Results inconclusive: Test requires greater sample size.
This is great on so many levels. I also love the moment the next game is taken from the shelf. Can‘t wait for the next episode!
The main prize got everyone to be enthusiastic throughout the game
I knew in mathbags they would be counting by 7's. That's got to be the hardest single digit number to quickly add/subtract in your head.
wait hold up, sugar cubes are a real thing? i though it only existed in cartoons. We don't have those where i live
There is honestly no game show on TV as entertaining as this. You’re really onto a winner with this one, Tom.
I kind of wish that all the walking intros to all the game garage episodes lead up to some narrative
Your game designs are getting better and better. I would love to see you do a variety show (live?) with rounds of a few different ones. Love your work, mate.

I have to say I think this was the most promising of the Game Garage and I'd love to see this brought into a full series.
6 weeks in the basement... hmmmmmm
The math part was rather scary - that all of these guys had that much trouble throwing a bean bag and counting backwards by 7. o.o
This is fantastically entertaining next episode should have Jay Foreman please :)
You can't make something like this, and not have a naming and shaming failure compilation at the end! How am I meant to feel superior now?!
Great concept as always, love your bizarre gameshow ideas!
Now I wanna see who was the fastest with the dominos
Barry was faster than Em because they wouldn't have been in this order otherwise.
@@zockertwins I'm talking about the ones that were excluded, the winner here seemed really fast and I wonder if someone could beat that 😄
That is a different story of course. I guess we will never know :(
I had a feeling that the math part of the mathsbag one is going to be a nasty one like 7, because if it was in 2s, 5s, or 10s, then it would be too easy to be part of the challenge.
Where's Little Alex Horne?
It was little Tom Scott instead.
I knew there was something missing
This is quickly beginning to be my fav series on YT
Telling them the time is not helping. It just puts pressure
That's sort of the point, classic game show thing increases tension
For some of these games, knowing the time does help
The most obvious example is switching to single-stack for sugarcubes when you're nearing time
It's not meant to help, it's a neutral thing which everyone gets.
I didnt even know you made these until recently but i really like them!
Same here
I would have loved to see the median as well, and how using it instead of the mean would have changed the results.

Bring Will Seaward on the show!
This is the most interesting one I've seen on TH-cam! Lots of possibilities for fun little games combining dexterity, skill and thinking! I wonder what would be next.
Third game: grab a sugar cube and hold it up in the air. You can only use the cubes and your body - no problem. The tower must stand long enough to be measured - no problem. Your score is the tower height, so however tall you are + an arm's length + a sugar cube.
Good idea. But at the end Tom said hands off. So...
