When this bid video was made, i was studied Travel and Tourism at the North West Regional College and was involved with many of the event. I am now in Manchester at university and when missing home, watching this video it makes me feel like i am home again. plus RIP Seamus Heaney, what a word smith that man was
Love the video especially the two girls playing the guitar together. Love there smiles so innocent, classy and beautiful! If i was judge the smiles on 4.06 won the bid for me!!

With the courage and heart of our City,we can and deserve better and should have the best promotion of our City , money can buy and the money is there to do it,make sure this time it is put in the right place.We need jobs and better facitlies for the young for education,not sending them off to England every year.Time to promote the brains and beauty we have here and keep it here to make our city better than years ago,not just for a year for the rest of all our days.
@rocketbombs An Grianan was built before there were artificial borders imposed, before there were counites Donegal and Derry. An Grianan is as much part of the history of the Derry area as Donegal. There is a common history before 1922.
You are promoting Derry to the world,time to get the big boys in to make sure it is represented better,you.Have you seen the the 2012 Belfast and N.ireland promos..Derry deserves the Best,make sure it gets it , Derry earned it ,do something about it. This isn't about a party for a year ,this is about telling the world, we are here and have a lot to offer to tourists,investors and show the world,the troubles did its worse,but we are still standing.Its our future for our young and old, long term.
@Hot5six4231 get a grip! every city has bad elements and derry isn't the exception. that bad element is a small minority. derry is very cultural city producing a wide range of artists, musicians, politicians, poets, film makers ect..

@rocketbombs You mean An Grainan hill fort. It overlooks Derry, is in the city's hinterland, and is a local monument. Apart from that.....!
