The ending of the show was literally a gem of a moment within the last 5 years of wrestling storylines. Everybody involved with that segment was literally turned up to there 11 setting.

My guess for why Cody came in at number 30 is because they were playing it safe and didn't want to risk him getting injured again by making him the iron man of the match on his return from a brutal injury and put him through too much
I would have swapped Logan and Cody. That way Cody at 29 would still be one of the last ones, and Logan could have been the surprise at 30. The match could still play out as normal

Gunther was a beast, I can definitely see him winning next year's rumble possibly cause of his performance this year. Plus when he loses his IC championship, which won't happen for awhile cause I think they planning on a huge run they could use the rumble win to boost him to mega star and then have him win the title.

This was one of the best Royal Rumbles we’ve gotten in years, so many good spots, so many memorable moments.

Honestly, Cody's win would have possibly overshadowed Sami IF Cody winning wasn't predictable.
Easy way to fix this, Have cody fight night 1 of WM for the WWE championship then have Sami fight Roman on night 2 for the Blueniversal Championship. The Titles need to be split again. Raw has no main championship.
I think that it would've been vice versa if WWE kept quiet about Cody being in the Rumble and made the Royal Rumble match the main event of the ppv
The problem with the Wyatt Vs LA Knight match wasn’t Bray, LA Knight, or the match itself. The problem was the Mountain Dew signs and all the glow. It started looking more like a round of Laser Tag than an actual match.

You're absolutely right, sometimes its okay for a story to be predictable, sometimes writers tend to mix things up too much for the sake of suprise factor but when a story is predictable and it still hits hard, it goes to show how good the story line is, that it doesnt need that unpredictable side to rely on.
I was initially skeptical how WWE would handle the Sami Zayn-Bloodline fallout, but they knocked it right out of the park. This is peak drama and one of the most organic storylines in the last couple of years.

If it wasn't for Cody, Sami should definitely win the undisputed championship. Maybe they could still do that as a triple threat match. But at the very least, Sami and KO deserve to beat the Usos to win the Undisputed tag titles.

NAH!! I loved the pitch black match.. I mean, what people thought this was gonna be actually Pitch Black?? I mean, Bray's face paint was amazing, the atmosphere was awesome. And what happened after the match, despite Uncle Howdy missing the elbow drop, was cool! I'm really invested in what happened next for Bray Wyatt. (No, even tho I am a Bray Wyatt fan, I'm not 🥩🏇 this, I honestly had fun watching this match)

I enjoyed it all. I definitely wish there were more surprises all around, but I like that I'm never sure what direction the stories are going. It kept me interested in the Wyatt/Bliss matches, despite them being poor.

Triple H did a FANTASTIC job. Everyone can all agree on the ending. The Royal Rumble may not have the most surprises, but that's what makes this one so special. Every superstar in the rumble felt like they had a purpose for being there, and are not just there to be eliminated. Not to mention, HHH did it so that a lot of the top players (Drew, Sheamus, Karrion Kross, Lesnar, Lashley, Gunther) were in there early, making it really entertaining as opposed to having a top player dominate the midcarders the first half of the rumble. This is a Royal Rumble PLE that did not require a bunch of surprises to be good, and it did so even with it's predictability, but it doesn't really take away from the moment.

He has nothing to do with the product we see on tv at all. Also. Pat didn’t leave cause he was a Vince guy. He left because he also does college game day for ESPN and since those games are primarily on Saturdays, he can’t be at smackdown Friday night and fly across the country and be on time for his football gig. Now that football season is basically over he’s back to commentate every Friday.

Don't forget that Gunther has the record for longest time in the royal rumble match even though Daniel Bryan has that record and WWE pretends he doesn't exist.
I really enjoyed this royal rumble. Especially the bloodline storyline. We finally got an amazing Long term booking story that continues to evolve as time passes and gets better every time. Couldn't say that for 2017. Now eh?
I think at this point, we can tell that this was never actually Sami's story. It was Jey's. This 2+ year story, began, and is going to end, around Jey. Dare I say, have Roman retain at WrestleMania, and have Jey take the titles from him for the actual ultimate payoff.
This is what I've been saying too , jey is the protagonist of this story and he needs to take the belts for himself
My theory or scenario how I would like to see it is, Cody only wanting the WWE title but Adam Pearce wants both titles defended at WM so at Elimination Chamber, which is in Montreal, Sami will win and be the #1 contender for the Universal title. Cody wins, Sami loses at WM and Jey wins MitB. I can already hear Jey in my head, while holding the briefcase into the camera: "I'm coming for you, Uce!".
Then for a couple of months Roman has to live in fear. Being constantly on the lookout for Jey. And then maybe around Extreme Rules, after a brutal match and defence by Roman, Jey comes out to cash in and win the Universal title.

It would be awesome if Jey Usos' reaction has something to do with his Hell in a Cell I Quit match against Roman. He only forfeited because Roman was hurting Jimmy, his brother. Now Sami had to turn on Roman because once again, Roman was hurting Kevin Owens, Sami's brother. So if there is one person who can feel for Sami, it is Jey. I wished they would remember this but WWE does not capitalize from its past too much unfortunately, so I don't think that will happen.

Simply put, Sami is now the biggest babyface in all of pro-wrestling. And I loved how crowd cheered during Roman's entrance (as always) to downright chanting "F you Roman", now that was a Heel moment I can truly appreciate.

But instead we got Sami Zayn turning on Bloodline himself instead and the only person he said sorry to and the only one who was heartbroken by what happened was Jey out of all of them. It's storylines like these that make me feel sorry for the people who dismiss wrestling as fake and therefore not worth their time. In a time when actual cinema and TV is basically shit, the story of Sami Zayn and the Bloodline might well be the best told, emotionally driven narrative arc in entertainment media today.
I'm not a WWE fan (AEW fan) but I really enjoyed that ending, GREAT storytelling props to Bloodlines, Kevin and Sami that was wonderful

I think it should be two triple threat matches for both the wwe and universal belts.
