Not at all. Anduin are the players and Thrall is Metzen. Anduin looks older, beat up by life, as the players grew up, the game went kinda meh and Thrall, aka daddy Metzen is here for hope, to fix everyrthing, closing the chapter and move on.
Thrall is Metzen (literally) and Anduin is the playerbase that left after Shadowlands (literally)
We are anduin, metzen came to help us

Actually, Ion previewed a new battleground at the deep dive, but said it wasn't in a presentable state and had no screenshot. Probably why it was not in the features trailer, but a new battleground is coming.

Cataclysm or as veterans remember it the JAJAPOCALYPSE. It wont feel real unless the expansion is suddenly overrun with south Americans who cant speak english or grasp the concept of wow game mechanics.

Cataclysme is good, but is not the same game. Pour moi c'est un un autre jeu, ce ne plus wow, où plus le même wow.
the idea that Bajheera wasnt around for OG Fall of Lich King blows my mind.. or at least it sounds like he;s saying that. It was quite the experience to live thru that first arriving in the world.. and now those who didnt do OG or Classic LK can get a taste of the final fight in one of the Time Rifts.. it is truly nasty.. the hardest of those rifts by far

There’s a MASSIVE difference in how each team realizes a vision though. Bungie can’t really do Design Thinking to save its fucking life. If Chris is leading the charge and this is the vision for the game’s direction, they will do it.
The problem with WoW for the last decade has been that each subsequent expansion picked up from a game like 2 expansions previously. I would have loved Bungie to just stick with the Book of Sorrows track and have a cohesive story, but alas, they blame everyone except themselves for underdelivering the experience they promise.
I’m hyped for WoW now…and haven’t been for a LONG time since Legion.

Cata was truly the best expansion. A fine tuned version of WotLK. Raiding was great in this expansion. PVP had a real element to skill and our core abilities made a difference in PvP scenarios.
Couldn't they have just skipped cata.... I don't know anyone that remembers it fondly.

The dgs were hard, which I liked, bastion of twilight + firelands were amazing, and the only bad part of the expac imo was dragon soul.
Most ppl i know who qq about cata were just bad/couldnt clear normal dgs/ragequit
@chrisryan1501 lmao, heroics have never been hard. A 25 is hard. Heroics only had a couple one shot mechanics if even more than one. In a 25 almost everything is a shot. Old content is stupidly easy and is only harder in the fact the player base was far far worse at instanced content 10-15 years ago.

When i say hard i mean in comparison to modern dgs, and they were particularly unforgiving compared to wotlk dgs which caused ppl to ragequit quite often

I wish everyone would wake up and ask for what they actually want, we don't want to play trash old bad quality games. Why can't they just make retail like it used to be so we have to be careful what we pull and use cc on mobs and no super fast tracking, that way we don't have to divide the community over 3-5 different games and we can all have fun

Blizz is trying to make less look like more. That cinematic sucked. Watching Wha-ndiun cry for what felt like an hour was one of the worst cinematics ive ever seen from any game.

There’s a reason this cinematic works, when the others in Dragonflight and part of shadowlands didn’t.
It’s earned. It’s established, it’s preceded by actions ingame.
The one thing they really screwed the pooch on, in vanilla you could kill a mob and have a random rare or epic boe drop they put a halt to that which is really sad.
So happy to find someone else excited. Honestly I think of all the classic versions released this will actually hang around for a bit

I do find it funny that only a couple of yrs ago they realised that the community hated something they added but they couldn't do anything because most of the next game was already done? Now they have 3 lined up? Well if the first 1 is good it's a great way to save everyone time so they know to just quit
Some of us actually played Vanilla, grinded the Winterspring Frostsaber and also got to Field Marshal.
Why is Cata such a big deal, been there done that wasn't that great but that's just me.
