    Back in 2010, when I was in 6th grade, I heard Not Afraid on the radio. That's what got me into hip-hop/rap. Since then, he's still always been my favorite of the genre, and I have all of his albums on CD (as well as some of the other projects he's been involved in), and some of his albums on vinyl too. He's had his ups and downs throughout his career, but there will never be anyone else like him. A true legend

    I got a "Mtv's best of" CD in 2002, when i was 9 years old. It had Lose yourself on it, but more importantly, it had Cleaning out my closet. I didn't understand everything in the song, because english isn't my first language, and i learned to talk and write later in life. But i understood enough to feel better about myself, knowing that the anger i was carrying for my dad was somehow justified and i wasn't alone. I didn't even know what Eminem looked like, i just loved his passion, anger and found him incredibly relatable. He is still my favorite artist of all time.

    There is a Conspiracy Theory that Eminem died in 2006 but was replaced with a clone.
    And I have to admit that for years I’ve always felt that Eminem feels very Kurt Cobain like, Eminem has that aura of a music artist that would die at the height of his fame.
    I must say though that Eminem’s voice does seem quite different on his early albums, his face also looks quite different now, plastic surgery?, I don’t know but something just feels strange to me.
    I know people age obviously and faces can slightly change over time but Eminem early in his career felt different in a way compared to how he’s been the last 10 years or whatever.

    • @The_SniperCam
      @The_SniperCam 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’d say it’s as simple as that: a conspiracy theory. He was changing so much because he was getting older, and his change in voice was probably due to things going on in his personal life, as he almost died from an overdose around that time period.

I was even in SoCal during that time so I was in Hollywood all the time. But God took care of me by not allowing me that drug called fame and because of that, I am still here today. When I was a kid in the 90’s and Eminem exploded onto the scene he was a cultural phenomenon. He tapped into youth culture in a way that artists just don’t do anymore. Every kid had the Marshall Matthers LP and knew every word to every song. Eminem Show was even better. Encore was a bit meh and then he went away. And when he came back it wasn’t the same. He’s not as aggressive or explosive as he was back in the day. Lose Yourself was his peak.

    The second he became very political by the 3rd or 4th album, the peak was over. Music is an escape and he instantly divided his audience when only attacking one side politically.
