that happened to me after i missed the first blink and was like, of course i blinked when he blinked! after that i was overthinking and couldn't tell whether I normally blink more or less so one day i'll record myself and look at the footage of when i forgot the camera was there and count my blinks. Trying to do that when I drive is a bit of an overkill. Maybe for a content creator to try
I'm the biggest LH fan but it hard not to like Max dude is a performance robot!

I with you on that sentiment. Lewis is goated and Max is an incredible driver. The only real issues I have with Max come from his attitude. But I respect his driving and competitiveness.
I went to a concours in Florida a few years back. Emerson Fittipaldi was the honoree. I watched him play a sim. I think it was maybe Gran Turismo? I noticed that at age 75ish, he didn't blink either. A racer will always be a racer.
yeah it could be very common at least among drivers. It might be surprising how some of us more "normal" folks blink very little or hold our breath so long when we focus really hard.
He blinks only if its the long straight line 😮😃
He's thinking about the next braking zone and racing line through the curve. He doesn't need to think through the curves because he mentally prepared. He plans ahead. At least that's what I think.

Cool to see the 2 "levels" in his gradual braking, and the way he replaces his right foot when flooring the pedal too
Leclerc does it too. I think it might be muscle memory from driving the real cars making sure their foot is all the way down to the floor against the g-force

After Bahrain, Marko told Max about Fernando's fights but Max said he watched the whole thing on the big screens.

f1 game has a lot of issues cuz its unrealistic. Ppl with setups get times that irl they cant get.

I mean, what can u say! i admire and respect Lewis's talent and capabilities, He's insanely talented, some of the laps he pulled off in the past specially that SIngapore 2019 qualy are just outta this world, but Max's simply took it to another level. This what happens when u have the raw talent and u back it up by dedicating ur self head to toe to ur craft. Max just might be the greatest most complete, ruthless driver to ever sit in an F1 car and i don't say that lightly.

average human blink rate is around 16 per minute. way more in stressful situations. less in dangerous situations.
He doesn't blink at all during cornering, just during straights where you can go flat out without worrying too much about input. I guess most top drivers do the same.
When behind a wheel, Max is 100% there, 100% of the time. He simply is unmatched. Third WDC incoming.
I saw him driving a Renault with his father on Spa several years ago and there you already saw he doesn't blink while concentrating.

Max adjusts his leg every time he pushes the throttle. For longer straights, his leg goes right, left, right, left, then settles into a position and stays there. For shorter straights (and apparently the main straight), it only goes right, left, then stays there. Interesting. It looks like he's shimmying his foot lower on the pedal so the his heel rests on the floor after he pushes the pedal all the way forward. Interesting.

I've ridden 35 miles on my R6, supersports bike, flat out, and I blinked 10 times tops.
If we don't blink, we keep a better focus and concentration.
Interessant, dass ein echter F1 Fahrer bei dem Game mit Mittlerer Traktionskontrolle fährt, weil so wie Max aufs Gas geht würde er sich auf dieser Runde 20 mal wegdrehen wenn er ohne TC fahren würde.
