Not all kids have awareness. So its more of a looking out cause we, parents, already know just how dangerous kids are especially with poor decision making. If you think you'll be able to watch kids 24/7, you won't. It's literally impossible and shit happens. It helps when other adults at least watch out for kids. If I saw a child not being tended to, I would tend to child to see why and how they're not being tended to. Kids are innocent.

I threw the cat over the shower screen while my big brother/best friend was showering. He climbed out covered in scratches, we didn't see the cat for 3 days & my bro never messed with my chocolate again. I feel bad about the kitty but we laughed about it for ages before he passed in 2015 from lung cancer.

He was my protector all my life so I was more than happy to step up & repay some of the care & love he gave me. I didn't think twice, never had any qualms. I'm glad I was there & that he wasn't alone at the end. I miss him dearly but I know the pain is over for him now.
