You should be sponsored!Your videos are some of the best I’ve seen on the Yolobox devices.Informative and delivered very well💯
Great video! Thanks so much.
To confirm, can you still control the Mevo Core zoom and focus on the mevo app (say on an iPhone) while you are using Core as an NDI source?
Yes you can!
Great video! I discover NDI just a few weeks ago with the Obsbot and Yolobox Ultra and love it. One question: It works well outdoors? For example using a Netgear Hotspot as a wifi and connect all to that network?
Setting up and testing will show you how strong your hotspot is for multiple cameras and cell data at the same time. This is one of the reasons I use the Slate travel router, my hotspot isn’t as powerful as a nighthawk.
but how does it manage the latency between audio and video?
Hmm…why does it limit it to 3 NDI sources? Is it processing power? License limitations? I’m pretty sure MEVO Multicam doesn’t have that limitation. Thoughts?
It is a self-imposed limit and probably based on both processing power and concerns for network quality.
Have you had any success with wireless NDI and using the multicam replay feature in Yolo box ultra.
Not tested this yet. But I’ll include it in my upcoming “From the Comments…” video.
Something I’d love to see on the Ultra is a means to vary audio delay based on selected input. I have two wired HDMI cameras, one wireless NDI and one wired NDI camera at my church. I bring audio in via USB to the ultra from my roadcaster pro2. My two wired HDMI need 66ms delay, wired NDI needs 100 ms and wireless NDI about 120ms delay on the audio input. Right now I have to charge these any time I switch inputs on the ultra to keep the audio in sync with video. Any ideas on this?
I am working to get all cameras m save one converted to wired NDI.
Thank you for all your work Jason!
Can you control the VM33 zoom while it’s connected to the YoloBox?
If it is connected via usb then yes. If via NDI then no.
Can you only use NDI cameras or is there a way to transmit from a video camera?
The YB Ultra takes hdmi inputs as well as usb.
When you have a couple hardwire and few NDI sources added to Ultra, are there any audio sync issues
and if yes, how do you resolve those concerns?
It takes a little prep setting your delay for audio inputs to match, but once you’ve done it you know what to expect. Mine is about 4 frames
Thank you. So I assume you are delaying the hardwire connections? Where do you do that?
how's the audio sync?
Takes a little adjusting but if you have setup time it’s not too bad. 4 frames when I do my podcast.
