If you're looking for more wood carving designs and videos, I recommend watching the video where I carve a greek paddle with a Dremel 4300. I use Walnut, Poplar, and Epoxy! The epoxy was a hassle but came out really cool. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

Glad I could help! Someone said it for their 3000 I think, but I can’t confirm. I prefer it with the flex shaft anyways.
For the same things you do with the dremel, I use the flex shaft with the corded demel 3000. They work perfectly. Also, one thing I'm not too fond of dremel, they don't make too many products to be compatible. The gap you see between your devices and the grip never happens with the 3000. The grip was made for the 3000 I would suggest.
Interesting that you don’t get the gap with the 3000. I also use a flex shaft most of the time with a 4300, and it works perfectly as well.
Just one glance on that tiny ring it's anchored by... it doesn't even have it's own thread that screws onto the nose thread. Thanks for confirming my suspicions, crazy this made it to market.

I am mostly interested in attachments/mods that reduce the vibration. I'll have to look through your channel to see if you have addressed that at any length. I've felt like trying to lay sections of rubber onto the flex-shaft and then wrapping it with leather, but haven't done so yet.

I haven’t done anything to reduce vibration, usually I just take the vicious hand soreness for a couple days til I get used to it. I still take breaks every half hour or so for a few minutes to give my hand a rest & let the tool cool

Practice! I now prefer it - not so much for engraving - but carving with a little bit more detail, and still being able to chunk larger pieces out without snapping the flex-shaft!
The flex shaft definitely has limitations but I think I’m more comfortable using the dremel without any attachments for the chunking. Does your detailers grip also twist a bit fully tightened?
@Log's Carving Club it does twist, but I fitted a thin rubber flange / washer (cut out from some rubber gloves) and this solved it! I think that that sort of the design needs to change for sure! Love your videos by the way - gratitude 🙏
I just got a rotary tool for Christmas, it includes this handle for details, but even though it came with the tool itself, it doesn't sit properly. I'm glad to know I do not absolutely have to use it.

I'm glad I found a free 3D model of this online that I could print with my 3D printer rather than buying the actual product. I came to the same conclusion you did, not worth the money.

@@LogsCarvingClub I pre-ordered a Bambu P1P when they were crowdfunding them. Very easy to set up and use, even for a complete beginner like me.
I bought the grip handle and put it on my 1000 (all I had at the time). Like Mo mentions, I had to play around with how I hold it to get a comfortable and effective grip. Also, you mention the flex shaft costing about the same; here in Canada, when I bought the handle, the flex shaft was twice the price (bought one used later).
Do you prefer the handle over not having it?
@@LogsCarvingClub It depends on the job. In general, I feel the handle gives me more stability when using cutting wheels (for metal) and the larger carving bits. I actually haven't removed it from the tool it's on for years now.
I got this with the platinum with 4000 Dremel and agree with you, what is the use? Great videos and soon I will be trying to follow your tutorials. Do you have in USA hook and loop attachment as I absolutely hate that the screw when attaching sand paper?

3:15 its because 4300 is not supported, it can be seen on 0:29
Surprisingly the packaging only goes up to 4200, but the Amazon listing specifically says the 4300 is supported. Not sure if that’s an error

I should have worded it better - I meant that many people lose dexterity as they get older and this attachment had potential to help.
