Lapras was the first deck I bought all the cards for individually when I started playing last year. I was inspired by your first video on it. Got my first ever locals win with it. I even bought all the shiny Lapras cards for it when SHF came out. I’m super excited to pull this deck out again. Thanks for pulling out these inspiring videos
Wow, it seems like ive been playing lapras vmax wrong all along... Ive been trying to do a frosmoth+inteleon engine but its a very clogged list with all the lines and the energy to make it work, this seems much more interesting, i gotta try it out
Yo anyone else notice that weird glitch at the 7:42ish mark? For a moment all the water energy turn into fire. It's like for maybe a frame. But I backed up and watched it again and saw it again.
If choice band, or another +20 or more item card was in the format this deck would have a very reasonable case for BDIF, level ball search just makes it so crazy consistent
Curious why you would target 2 Snom instead of the Gossifleur + Snom on T2? Killing 2 Snom doesn't change what the opponent can do since he had a third in play anyway. You might have had a chance to KO the other 2 on the following turn even if they evolved.
I played the first team challenge with a lapras vmax deck and jirachi engine only one dedenne gx to act as a panic button or a early game setup (which i actually never played, only a couple of matches) and it worked so fine. I love lapras vmax so much
Yessss.... you know who's better partner for cryogonal. A lapras who appreciates alot of energies. Especially 2turn already 4 energy in play already attacking 180 to 240 in turn 3
hey andrew!! quick question about one of your plays during the dragapult matchup. i was wondering your reasoning behind switching the damaged lapras vmax to the bench at 280 damage. you said it was to avoid taking any more damage from the horror energy but the damage wouldn't have knocked you out with only 1 on the active dragapult. however, putting it on the bench does put in range of ko from max phantom. if it remained in the active spot, it also would've been ko'd from max phantom but there would be less damage put in play overall. i'm honestly not trying to backseat game or judge your playstyle, i'm just trying to improve my overall play style
This just kinda feels like another Rayqaza Vmax deck. It's one of those decks that is a monster if it gets set up, but will often get wrecked by 2 of the top decks in the game, Rapid Strike Urshifu and Dragapult.
It's way better than Rayquaza VMAX, you don't lose the energies after attacking. if the opponent has no way to kill your fully loaded Lapras, it'll just eat up another VMAX for 3 prize next turn.
@@TrickyGym Yeah, because you did manage to set up. But that's a LOT of pieces to get going. That's gotta get clunky. I mean if it's working for you, all the power to you. You've got way more experience than I do in this meta!
@@heavyarms55 Ray NEEDS 3-4 flaaffy, and while lapras needs one frosmoth, it can get away with only finding a few buckets or skipping the gossifleur, especially depending on the MU. Same idea as Ray but way lower maintenance. If there were a Pokémon with Frosmoth’s ability for Lightning energy, I’m sure it would be a different story.

@@boxkid759 This deck can be devastating if you're lucky. If you get Flareon V and VMAX in your hand at the start, you can attach a Fire Energy, and then use Flaming Breath. This puts you at two Fire Energies after turn one. Turn two, evolve Flareon V into Flareon VMAX and attach your last fire energy. From there you can spam Max Detonate to nuke pretty much anything, except for VMAX's that resist fire.
I have a build that plays cryogonal if i go second it really helps for early agressive energy attachment but i gotta try it out with eldegoss engine seems interesting because of level ball.
I gotta say I’m legitimately upset right now. I traded off so much shit cause this deck looked really fun to play. All the lapras’s are super high cost right now. I’ve never played a deck that bricks as hard as this thing does. It’s like playing with center blocks. 10 games and the only one i won was cause I played a rayquaza deck that bricked harder than I did and they conceded. You you tubers needa start posting how many games you had to play to get these 3 games for your videos cause there’s no way it’s higher than a 50% win rate and save people the time and trouble from making such trash ass decks.

Whimsicott gx does the same thing plus it had a coin flip to block damage

How does Andrew win all of these games? I spent so much time grinding for all the cards and when I finally built the deck, I lost 5 games in a row.
