I used the ferti lome based on BYD's previous video and in addition to the pop of dark green I noticed that my 2" Bermuda is PILLOW soft. I love walking barefoot on it. ...might rub my face it it later. 🤣🤣
One thing you never hear people talk about bermuda is the way is the way it feels when you walk barefooted on it. Good to hear someone else noticed that. I keep mine pretty high (currently 3 inches)
@@randyman8984 I keep mine on the 2nd highest setting for my rider. @ Kirby Ellis I have 25.000 sq ft of bermuda 419. Theres no way I am gonna mow every 1-2 days, A must if you want to keep bermuda looking good under 2 inches. Green colour BYD implies green iron II the oxidation state. Sunniland colour seems to be the iron III compound. Plants utilise iron in the iron II state to make chlorophyll. Just adding my two cents.
Man, BYD- That fertilome product looks awesome! I will definitely need to check it out sometime for my lawn. Do you recommend the hose end strayer or the pump sprayer? I have one of those plastic hose in sprayers that works well.
I spray Sunniland iron mixed with Urban Farms liquid lawn once a month and use Scotts green max granular as a base. My neighbors have asked in the past if I painted the lawn. The Green Max granular is loaded with iron. I just ordered some $30 Liquinox brand iron with zinc to see how it performs.
for a large yard like mine (almost an acre) it would probably take several gallon jugs of that Ferti-Lome liquid iron wouldn't it? I have been getting some granular iron from a local landscape guy, not sure where he gets it, it just has a generic iron label on the sack. He sells it to me for like $20 for a 50lb sack, I usually get 2-3. But I've been wanting to try some liquid iron. Something that will be cheaper and not break the bank to cover my large yard. I also want to get one of those 31 gallon tow behind sprayers from Northern Tool, to test out. You should get one too to try out. I bought a gallon of Plant Growth Regulator (PGR) to try next season on my lawn. This is what everyone has been raving about lately, the PGR. And you don't have to use much of it. A gallon will probably last me two seasons. I'm hoping that it will help me cut back on mowing every 3-4 days after applying a lot of fertilizer it really grows fast! Congrats to your Atlanta Braves for winning the World Series last night!
He said he didnt clear the other part of the brush in the yard at the fence line cause him and BYD jr. ran out of steam lol!!!!!! I feel you man. I cleared out 3 small bushy trees on the side of the house this weekend. It wore me out. I stopped half way thought and went and bought a chain saw.
Personally I use the granular Ironite from Lowe’s. Those other products are under 5% iron but Ironite is 20% iron plus 1% nitrogen. Totally worth the money. Only drawback is it takes about 6 days for the deep green to show compared to 2 days with the liquid products.
It's also ferric oxide which is one of the least available iron supliments for your lawn. I'd rather put a quarter of the iron down chelated or half of the iron down via iron sulfate (which is super cheap by the way) then use ironite.
@@InDatParish Ferric oxide is not particularly "available" for plants to absorb. Depending on your pH, it may turn into Fe3 and never get absorbed by anything. It takes more and it takes longer to do the same thing.
That Sunnyland looks like it went bad 10 years ago...ha. I had just ordered my Fertilome because all the Southern AG is out in the 1 gallon every where. Looked it up and came across your videos. Hope it does the same with my KBG. I will post video soon on my results.
Fertilome Chelated with the black top comes with mushrooms. YES and I’ll say it again, it greens BUT it grows mushrooms. That liquid iron is the best. Put that Fertilome down Thurs and now I’m pulling again mushrooms. Third time using it and third time getting mushrooms
Great looking lawn my friend and good job on the video's. I live in Florida and I have sand burrs really bad any idea on how to get rid of them? I have Bahia grass and I'm getting ready to seed it with Burmudagrass but I have a lot of big trees , Even the Bahia won't grow there because no sun light. My big trees are close together and I hear Bermuda needs full sun. Do you know of any grass that looks close to Bermuda that don't need a lot of sun?
Check out the liquid Ironite. I think it's $14 and comes with a great spray bottle. Covers 5,000 square feet, but I make it stretch over 8,000. Has some Nitrogen in it. Great review. Thanks BYD.
I tried that once and personally I was not impressed. I did not notice any change in my lawn but thats not to say it does not work. It just was not for me.
I have a 4 gallon sprayer. How much of the ferti lome per gallon should I add? Great video, I went to Rural King and got me some right after I watched it👌😂
Thanks BYD, good review of products! I believe fertilome is definitely a better choice than those shown. How long should you wait after applying one of these product to spray your NPK fertilizers? Or can you put down fertilizer right after applying the iron products
If you Liquid Fert doesn’t have any iron at all then same day but check label 🏷 about the heat temps and watering requirements.I like the granular fert instead though.
great video. how did you apply the ferti-lome to your lawn? not through a hand held spray bottle? I wanted to add it to a back pack 2 gallon sprayer. I see two different application ratings, one for foliage spray, of 1 tablespoon per gallon. and then one for lawns/soil treatment, 1pint per 500 sq ft and the appropriate amount of water. so how much per gallon did you use on your lawn?
where do you live what state I am in Cali and I have tall ficus and in full sun all day what do you recommend I am on a budget but I love my green Lawn
BYD, thanks for the video using different products than the others TH-camrs. Would you say that to save money I can buy the fertilome and the sunnylands and mix them together at half rate each?
I have a lawn company that puts down their fertilizer. I had an analysis done on the yard and it was low in Phosphorus. I asked BYD on facebook about it and he gave some suggestions so I added based on a couple different suggestions with triple 13 and milorganite in addition to the stuff my lawn care company puts on it and I have to mow it almost every 2 days or the jungle takes over. BYD actually spoke of it in a different video but Phosphorus is one of the key elements that many of the major companies dont put in to their products and because they dont your lawn struggles more then if you just add it. If you dont mind mowing you can really make a lawn take off and look beautiful but what better therapy is there then just enjoying the great outdoors and watch your neighbors drool at the same time at your work?

Nice Video!
Looks great! If I lived in your area I’d like to drone your yard.
Texas Drone I gotta get one of those things. Any recommendation for a cheap but good one?
Bermudagrass Central If you want good quality pics and videos you’ll need something like a DJI Spark. You can find them on EBay used.
Texas Drone ok I’ll check it out, thanks 🙏🏾
