- You can't find Indian food in Venezuela, so in Medellin Colombia I decided to have Nora try Indian food for the first time. Venezuelan girls love spice so I was curious as to see her first reaction to Indian food. My friend Fernando has tried Indian food many times but this time I showed him how the majority of people eat in India using their hands. Join me on this Indian food vlog abroad.

Volpe, once you have eaten in India the bar will be set high and nothing will ever compare! I used to love my local Indian restaurants but after living in India for 2 years, I couldn’t go back! Once I saw that saag paneer I was like "yea this doesn't look very authentic". I've never seen it so bright green.
I was weirded out by that too. Looks like food coloring opposed to actual Spinach being used. Weird to me.

Pickles or pickling is a process of preserving veggies, and not necessarily associated with just cucumbers as y'all have it in the US. You can make pickles out of any vegetable.
Pickle for us is anything that we preserve mainly for off season by seasoning with salt, vinegar, oil, different spices, chilly powder, mustard paste, etc

Good to see you all try Indian cuisine. Normally bread(Naan, Paratha,etc) is eaten first as it will be hot and soft. It hardens when it gets cold. The rice dishes are eaten afterward.

There is a lot of similarity in cooking styles of India and Latin America. India encourages eating flatbreads from different grains. India also does that. Fried rice with leftover vegetables and curries are common in both cultures. The only major difference is in spices. Spicy in a lot of Latin American cuisine is basically chilly; spicy in India is an assortment of spices.

In Southern India, spoon is not used much - So the maincourse is eaten majorly with hands. However, In Northern India, spoon is extensively used. For example, they eat rice with spoon.
