When my kids were young I used to make the canned biscuits donuts. They loved them and still talk about them. I make them for my grandkids now. Bless your sweet family.
I’m sure many of us would love to hear about your home and even a house tour would be fun!!!! You have so much land around you and with the snow, it’s beautiful. The food looked delicious! Nothing better than a potato bar and an apple cobbler.
Growing up my grandma would also make us what she called "snow cream"....sometimes she would add a little cocoa powder to it & we'd have chocolate snow crm! It was so yummy...that brings back such fond memories...glad to see you are passing on to your kids...it's something they will always remember😋
ABSOLUTELY would love to see a tour and hear more about your home. For one my Dad was born in 1909 and our mom was born in 1919. I love to look back on that era of history for those reasons and of course others. Food looks delish. We like Chili hot dogs with leftover Chili too.
You have quickly become my favorite person on TH-cam! I love watching your videos as I go about my day, it helps keep me motivated. Thank you!! I recently (october) been a stay at home wife and it has been a hard transition! Something I have always wanted, but still a hard transition.
Such a lovely snow day with your sweet family. Fond memories of our children on snow days. We baked and made beef stew from my great aunt’s recipe. Plenty of playing in the snow too. ❤
Here in South Central PA, we got 8” of the most beautiful light powdery dry snow on Sunday into Monday 1/19-1/20..it was like Olympic downhill slalom snow…we could blow it with the leaf blower instead of shoveling it……amazing. I was home recovering from gallbladder surgery on 1/17…….it was a PERFECT Winter day ❤️
Hi, your videos are very calm and relaxing. Your voice calms me when my mind is elsewhere. I remember making snow ice cream. ❤ You have such a beautiful family. I like watching you cook and make different meals.
Would love to know about your cookbook you made. Did you use a website to upload all your pictures and recipes? And would they have printed your cookbook too. Thanks! Loved the video.
Leftover chili: When we were kids, mom made hound dogs with the chili. Lay down a piece of bread, slice hot dogs length wise on top of the bread, top with chili and velveeta cheese. Place under broiler in the oven until warmed and cheese melts. Garnish with onions. ( very kid friendly)
Oh I remember those snow days growing up in Massachusetts! We couldn't play until the driveway was shoveled out. Coming back indoors to hot chocolate and drying our mittens on the radiator!
I just found you and must say, I really enjoy you and your family. I, too, still have my Christmas tree up, although I now call it my Valentine tree. I decorate with lots of red and hearts. My tree is more romantic with crystals and glass heart ornaments and pearls. So I don’t feel too bad leaving it up longer. I really enjoyed your video!
Your channel has such a calming effect while still learning new things, too. I definitely want to hear more about your renovations. My favorite ways to use leftover chili are chili mac, loaded potatoes, enchilada bake, or add in hot dogs for a new twist.
Hello Lauren!! Such a sweet video!! The snow is beautiful!!! It was so sweet seeing the kids enjoy it!!! The meals you cooked looked delicious 😋 Until the next one take care and God bless friend 🙏 😊❤
I'm laughing as I'm making the exact same thing today with leftover chili. I don't have the snowy backdrop as it's 60 degrees here today in the southwest. I have my grandmother's and great Aunt's recipe boxes. I had to ask my mom what the heck is oleo?😂
Leftover chili I use it in soup or my daughter likes it when I make chili fries. With toppings a little bit of chili goes a long way scattered over French fries with cheese, cowboy candy, perhaps avocado. and a salad on top or to the side with tomato
I enjoy your channel you are so real not like every thing has to be (so so)I love family like farm life I grew up on a farm my daddy was a farmer I mean big fields Love snow cream as my moms called I made it for my kids Enjoy watching different things you cook get ideas from that .I would be interested in hearing about your home I love old homes buildings anything history.😊
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoy watching, I love hearing that you also enjoy the farm life! I grew up the farmer’s daughter too! 🥰 I’ll try to share more home history soon ❤️
Your videos are so inspiring and calming! The food you fix always looks so delicious! Those little ones are just the cutest, although the boys probably wouldn’t want to be referred to as “little ones”.
hey girl- loved the video!😁 such yummy food- great job Lauren😍 Such pretty snow- Ours have just about melted. Ya I would like to hear more about your house😉 Ours was built in 1940 and has seen some changes over the years. And our kitchen is also the coldest room in the house. The cellar is right below😬 Y'all have a blessed weekend❤🤠
My leftover chili (as long as it isn't too runny) would be made into burritos for the freezer. I would add rice and shredded cheese and then roll up and freeze. Actually 90% of leftovers end up being made into some kind of burritos, lol. I always enjoy your videos, I know you are very busy. I have a garland leftover on the mantel that still has Christmas lights on it that I am turning on everyday~ its very cheerful. Our outdoor lights are still up and lit too, yikes. Its been super cold so I haven't made my husband take them down yet and again they are very cheerful and look pretty in the snow so no rush I guess, lol.
lol I don’t even want to admit how long our outdoor lights stayed up last year 😆 It’s all coming down this weekend (hold me to it) but it’s too cold to worry about the outdoor lights. 🤷♀️ They can wait! LOVE the leftovers = burrito freezer stash idea! Thanks for sharing!
Sis you have the most beautiful postcard picture kiddos. The beauty in them while playing in the snow with the old tricycle and see saw that I use to have is absolutely divine. That creamy chicken recipe sounds real good right about now lol. It’s usually hot in Houston but we are supposed to be getting snow ❄️ Tuesday. I hope we are all prepared. It was aweful the last time about prob 4 years ago. Bcuz this state isn’t used to it. Anyway kiss all the babies and yall take good care. I love you all ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🏽
@ yes darling we are but you never know how much prepared you have to be ya know. That’s why I trust in the Lord to help me 🙏🏽and you’re welcome I support you all the way
Loaded baked potatoes chili I'll try that. The ways I've stretched chilli is add lentils the second round or steamed white rice. Rice & bean you can't go wrong

I make chili-mac with leftover chili. We enjoy it.
Yes, I love it that way.
Beautiful video ❤
Hello Lauren, family, fur babies, and feathered friends. Food looked delish! Where do the little doggies stay when it is freezing? STTB
Chili Mac. I always mix my leftover chili with mac and cheese.
How fun ...
We love left over chilli ...my husbands favourite is chilli and cheese toasted sandwiches .. I like it in baked potatoes ...

I also would love a link or like to know how you printed out your cookbook? What a wonderful idea. I would love to do that and with photos.

Rice is a great idea! I don’t know why we don’t do that more often! Thanks for sharing and watching!
We like to make hot dogs and chili macaroni for options to use up left over chili!
