I'll be darned... You probably met hundreds of people on the trail but we were three of them! We ran into you in MD, three men that share your former profession, more or less. I was on my very first section hike; I was bewildered that you didn't carry a chair and cold soaked your food... And that's how I found your channel, I've been doing a lot of section hiking since then and want to give it a try (cs food), so I looked toward YT for some more information, and was pleasantly surprised to find your channel (which is great btw)! Congrats on completing the AT and happy (future) trails! B, R, & R.
I remember you guys well... I had been thinking about y'all. Because as it turned out I had COVID when we chatted. I was off the trail sick the next day, and 24 hours later tested positive for covid.... I hope I didn't spread the nastiness.
Dude. I almost got emotional at the end. Must have been such a great feeling of accomplishment. Also love that you say you are slow, yet are crushing 25 mile days...lol
So many mixed emotions at the end. When I saw the first completed version of this video, it made me emotional and caught me by surprise. Brawn and myself started late (April 6ish)and finished earlier than most, which meant we passed most other hikers it wasn’t because we were the fastest, we hiked the longest. Started before sun rise and hike all day long with a few breaks… so at the end of the day, we were the classic tortoise in the hare story….Or purhaps “steam engine vs race car”
You did an amazing job with your whole series. Sad to see the end but it was an amazing journey. I feel honored to have met you Brawn and all the other great folks out there. I'll be heading to do the PCT next year. Can't wait to see your next adventure. Veggie
