FYI, the transcript provided doesn't match the lyrics being sung... Some phrases were left out.. and it's incomplete! Very disappointed that this has not been rectified since 2023!
Chris Anderson has taken the overt step of adding rock rhythms to their recordings. They were leaning this way, but now there's no doubt. This exemplifies putting no difference between the holy with the profane Ez. 22:26; 44:23.
Truth! It is so unfortunate. This is not what exemplifies a holy Christian culture. It is tainted by the world's cultural pull and methodology, mixing holy lyrics with profane music.
@bobharrison7080 and he won't stop with this composition. Furthermore, once the music has gone this way, you can be sure his doctrine has shifted as well.
It doesn’t sound like we are standing on Christ alone. It sounds like we are dancing at a party for our pleasure. True Christians are losing touch with the message of music and the presence of the Holy God. Sadly, we are dancing away from God thinking everything is okay and then wondering why we are sad when the song has worn off. The words are powerful, but the music is powerful enough to twist the words and weaken the message and sway our focus away from God alone.
It is disappointing because we ought to show God more respect. I’m sure the singers and arrangers aren’t trying to be disrespectful and offer wrong sacrifices, but this is not the sound of humble people worshipping in the presence of the Lord. Yes, we can enter into His presence boldly and with joy, but it seems to me that we forgot how to honor the Host and Inhabiter of praise. Sadly, our praise is becoming sensual and devilish. The great sadness and disappointment is that the Host is being replaced, and we didn’t even notice when He was ushered out.
Let God's name be extol,, for all the revelation we recieve that for you and I to be save,, soli Deo Gloria
I love this it gives no praise to fallible man and his unbiblical traditions. Not that all traditions are bad but we must test it by the word
Thanks for sharing the gifts God has given you with us. I have enjoyed all the songs I have heard from Chris Anderson!
We sing the song in University UPH Wednesday Morning Chapel with thousands of people in Indonesia.
So thankful to work alongside you guys! ♥♥♥♥♥

Psalms 51:17
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
