Born in 1963, I loved Aesops Fables and Song of the South, but I knew about slavery and its horrors by the time I was 4 or 5. ROOTS on TV and my Mom had the book and I read it at 7 or 8 yrs. old. The poetry and morality of Aesop, then the horrors of Roots. Enlightening as i saw Strength and Survival and Art.
I didn't know about black face until about 4-5yr ago. I'm in my 50's now and never learned about this until my late 40's. That tells me that we need more history education about minorities in this country, not less. I always considered myself a fairly well educated person but I've learned I have so much more important things to learn and understand.
I do not agree that a ghost should be a hostage of the environment that killed it. Ashes in the sea... The best hunted doll is a blow up on. At least it knows how to do its job property 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Also, the racists who claim they don’t know anything about blackface and then put it on (especially in this century) know what they’re doing. These are rich racist white people who think it’s “fun” to be racist. We all innately know this is wrong as human beings. I grew up in a small town and learned about this stuff just from PBS and other free sources that showed what racist white people used to do and from taking history class. Maybe it helps that I grew up on what used to be a Native American reservation, but I think most people know about it and know it’s wrong (unless they were homeschooled by racists and never met a black person).
I would never sell my Haunted Dolls. Ghosts especially dolls can be very fragile. I find them at thrift stores so they already were abandoned once. I know if I sell them they will become angry or sad and I feel bad for spirits who get passed around like that.

We desperately need Roy Wood Jr. as the permanent host of The Daily Show. Without him, there's no longer a need to watch the show. I'm just waiting for Dulce Sloan to get her FULL week as guest host that was denied due to the writer's strike. After that, I'm out unless Roy is back as Host.
There is a festival of minstrel in Cape town South Africa to this day! I was shocked to learn this! Who would even participate when the country is like 90% black? Trevor should've done a segment on this before he left, that being his home country and all. PS A clown is a white-faced version of minstrel, ie, the mockery of a black person n(bright afros, large noses, large lips, huge feet, etc). Yet will still find clowns and clown costumes acceptable.
