WOW...This knock the breath out of me for a bit. I have a feeling that this is the same flood that a woman was washed away from her husband, and he only survived because a man in, I think an inflatable raft of sorts jumped to pull the man in his boat. His wife was later found. This sounds insane, terrifying, but fascinating AFTER getting to safety of course. Thank God for all the lives pulled to safety and those who helped everyone. Sounds like those who live in Supai NEED major help rebuilding and so on.
My son Chris and his friends Dave and Josh were there and lost their tents and back packs. Thank God they got out. I'm so sorry one lady lost her life.
Is there enough high ground from the trail head to Supai to build a train? My understanding is the people are poor, but someone has got to be making a boat load of money from the tourism.

Everyone there was incredibly fortunate to see, in person, how the Grand Canyon was formed.
