He was actively trying to become the heaviest pro wrestler of all time which I can't believe and I'm sure it contributed to his death. He was actually losing weight when he passed. Man he was awesome and I miss the mighty YOKOZUNA!!!!!

That's pretty classic moment where Sal Divita and Yoko are negotionating what Yoko is going to do for the camera. Can only wonder how much more footage is locked up. These guys were inventing the process on the fly and this was all still very cutting edge at the time- which is why they didn't have their plans of the moves on hand or props that the wrestlers were going to be interacting with.
thanks for posting this without some incredibly annoying heavy metal soundtrack playing in the background..... F**k I don't know why everybody seems to have to do that!
It feels so weird to watch this. To me, as I'm sure was the same for anyone who was a child in the early 90s, Yokozuna was a larger than life presence. It was impossible for him to smile. He didn't know English. He was DEFINITELY from Japan and hated everything that was good. You hated him. But you also feared him because he was a living breathing anomaly that should NOT be able to move as fast as he did. lol Then you grow up and find out that he was just some funny Samoan dude who loved his kids a lot and wore Nikes and tried out video games. Seeing Yokozuna laugh almost feels like a violation of the laws of nature.
@@insertcoindoc i am really curious because as he stated, he guarded his character for his entire working career (so to see him taking direction) or even conversing as Mark and not The Undertaker would be crazy... mind you i just watched Mr Fuji doing chiropractics... so anything is possible 🤣🤣
What is he asking him? Is it if Lex can slam him on camera? Or if Sal Davita can slam him? Either way i think Yoko was protecting the biz a little bit if that's what i heard. He was agile as hell for a guy his size and I think he could at least get another hip toss out of Lex like he did aboard that ship in 93
He was asking if Yoko could slam himself to mo-cap for Lex's slam in the game. Yoko couldn't slam himself w/o a base and you can hear him say "there's no way unless Lex is here himself" at 2:00

Poor Yoko was in pain just moving. You can tell the effort it takes for him to make simple movements. RIP big guy
This was long before he says he was striving to be over thousand pounds 😮

Whose fault is that?
According to stories he use to drown fried chicken in mayonnaise and ate it like a soup.

Nothing like getting your neck fixed by Mr Fuji 🤘
This footage is so cool! Loved to see Yoko and Mr. Fuji foolin around
Yoko was the main heel when I got introduced to WWF.
I miss him.
Who thought that Yokozuna was legit Japanese back in the day? I was really shocked when i found out that hes Samoan
I think probably 90% of WWF fans were shocked, cuz I know I was too lol
I was like 8 then I totally believed it, but looking at him now he doesn't look Japanese at all. Doesn't really look Samoan either
German announce team always referred to him as "born in Polynesia, now representing Japan".
@@desisdosis473 Was just thinking the same thing ^^ Still remember it, like it was yesterday.
Yeah definitely. It was the Japanese flag that Fuji was always carrying that did it.
I'm so happy to see this, very briefly but we were able to see some of yokos real personality here. Rip big guy!!
Fascinating look at Yoko and Fuji here
"Hey, Yoko! Rodney! How you doin'?"
"Get that fuckin' camera away from me."
"Sorry."
1:40 "That doesn't work for me, brother."
That’s Nightwolf/Cyrax/Sektor/Smoke talking to him.😊
They should have been hidden characters in wwf wrestlemania, the arcade game the same way you got to play as the programmers in NBA JAM T.E
Also Scorpion from sub-zero mythologies

Sal Divita! This takes me back!
That Dominic Mysterio mullet on that guy was legit and not a gimmick at that time
That same guy played Nightwolf in Mortal Kombat 3/UMK3/Mortal Kombat Trilogy
Dude rocked it first, therefore Dominic is rocking a Nightwolf mullet
Bro that's an Eddie Guerrero mullet
Dominic makes the mullet look gay🥴

*Yokozuna. Not even those he worked with called him Rodney

Keep them coming!!!

0:18 onwards. I miss the free 90s. Everyone was chill
Exactly, today she would probably call Fuji a pervert and sue him!
Some corner moves would have been awesome, like irish whips into the corner.
i never knew he was a Samoan playing a Japanese!!!

Nightwolf?
Yeah, among others, such as the Cyborgs, did some supplemental Raiden capture for Trilogy as well and appeared in Mythologies cutscenes I believe.
