The landscape was different back then, dare I say it the terrain was smoother but we knew what we wanted as a collective and history was made. Everything goes through evolutionary change which is awesome but I can’t help but think the music was a lot more sure of itself then. Not slating modern times, I love it all. But I feel what your saying for sure

I went to most of the Ram nights at The End and see some of the most legendary sets from this man.. But this is one of the best sets he's ever played!! The mixing even for Andy is on some next level !!! BADMAN...
the end was insane, that soundsystem was a whole other level. best sound in london, absolutely thundering basslines. shame the bouncers were a bit harsh on the weed smoking tho, fabric you could just blaze all night.

I was working in FABRIC LONDON as a sound engineer back in 2003 till 2006 again it was all and only about LONDON nowhere else in the world was like this
no you could get a special atmosphere in say Bristol or Swindon or whatever but when a big London night REALLY goes off it does feel different somehow. I've been to so many nights raving for 15 years but 2003 Renegade Hardware + Valve Soundsystem at the Coronet was the most electric atmosphere I've felt at a rave and I've been to a lot of great ones. Some moments when you're raving are just transcendant and empowering and you can't put it into words fully.
This was peak DnB for me. Our generation's version of the Bay area thrash scene when it arrived. Raw, fresh, intense, heads in the know, and everyone going crazy.
