@@onefix8816 that can be said about any npc from any game. "if only he hadnt talked with the gas mask mom, her kid wouldnt be missing", "if he hadnt changed area, the trader would still be alive". Of course not interacting with npcs keep the things still.
@@EveTheRaviolo He means that you actually get a better ending for the musician if you never talk to him. You still get a bad ending for the elephant family if you don't talk to them, for example.
The musician lives if you don't speak to him and you give the key to the wolf or kill the pretty lady yourself.

Kuro Yuki the “plague” is infecting him. It’s a spawn from the being, a defense mechanism. His condition is worsening. If mark just never talked to him, he would’ve been saved. His condition is worsening and, chances are he’s gonna be dead next episode.

i have a weird thing with this series. i fricken love it! but for some reason every time i watch one of the videos i always keep on pausing it an doing other things. like i feel i need to take the series one minute at a time to soak it all in lmao. plus it gets me really inspired so im always getting up and pacing, thinking about ideas.

If I was in Marks situation where the ending broke me I would probably (if possible) reload a old save and redo that secret ending, I would also then do the other ending

As of currently, Mark is killing the boy. if im correct as the nights go on the Musician will continue to grow in size whilst growing weaker. You know that goop that prevents mark from camping within the metal room? Its speculated he becomes conjoined with that gunk, although not specified. If mark retrieves the True ending this is the description the boy recieves
"The boy with the violin who remained alone in the old hut at the swamp, without a chance of escape."
And if you know the ending, you know the boy probably suffers the most. Mark couldve saved the boy, had he not chosen to kill the big pig in chapter 1. Ultimately thats a big defining factor for your true ending results

Mark did the right thing in the beginning with the key and that's all I was really worried about. Since the boy is still alive and.... sorta well.. i didn't know the pig came into play. I feel so bad for the boy 🥺 ugh if it shows him dying or let's us know that he's dead I'm gonna bawl my eyes out
@@ColdNoodlz Yeah that chapter 1 side choice really changes your ending.Also, you can see the boy slowly growing larger in that room, atleast his sprite is. If im correct I think Mark is only protecting the Wolfman with his choices. The only other person who he can get a positive ending for now is the elephants missing child. Also yeah with the key choice, however you can save musician by giving him the key aswell, but doing so you have to, in simple terms, play guardian angel (However, Wolfman makes in a more disturbing appearance in Ch.2). Funny enough though if you want to save the most people you literally have to ignore a lot of the characters and kill a select few and youll manage to save 75% of the savable ones

I take this point to appreciate the beautiful art style and creepy atmosphere this game produces. It has the vibe to make ancient overgrown woods dark and scary in a wild untamed nature be mysterious way. Love it.

Thank you for continuing the series. For some reason this game really interests me, and I got a bit worried when I hadn't seen any uploads in a while for this game.
Don't worry. He already finished the game. He said so about 2 - 3 weeks ago. He's just been extremely busy lately.
I just want to take this time to emphasize, rewatching this series years later. The whole thing with the musician is incredibly sad, especially with what happens to him in the next episode. This game is so dark and and so surreal and it's incredible.

A lot of times when a game doesn't spell everything out for you TH-camrs tend to miss like, 80% of the game. Most people don't get to see the hard effort put into games like these because they rush the plot. :/ I wish it was different. :P

Everything has pros and cons, nothing is possible to be perfect. I only said I wished it was different; I didn't say how it should be done because I don't KNOW how it should be done. Getting more YT content hurts the game, helping the devs means less watch time for Mark. Take from A or take from B. Like I said before: "I wish things were different." :/

Aight no matter what mark, never, I mean NEVER, eat the old lady. You get no positive benefits from it and it ruins your other chance of winning.
This episode was great! Violin Boy is by far my favorite person but I have a theory, I think you might be safer keeping your lights off at your place during the night so monster don't think you live there, just like if you don't hold a lamp near them they won't see you unless if you get to close or a stick snaps.

Hey Mark ive just wanted to say i bought Darkwoods myself while it was at discount and i have completed it. That game was fun to play and maybe ill try again but in harder difficulty. I loved endings

False ending and True ending basically represents that no matter what we do we will die - but we have choice. Do to it like others - cowardly and without knowledge that something is leeching our life forces - or as a hero that died in right case, for other people so they dont have to go through this horror again.
I loved all of it in this game and im glad i got this opportunity to play such a fantastic game.
