I have been loving the whole "crochet" trend that's been going around on TikTok lately. But let's be real - some of us just don't have time for that! You could hand crochet, all i know how to do is the easiest chains but i like to make necklaces and chokers. (I don’t sell) It’s also easy to use 2 yarn to make a pretty 2 color chain!
With the right tutorials and motivation, you can do it!! I learnt how to crochet over lockdown and I am currently nearly finished my granny square cardigan :)
I go through periods where I’m into crocheting or knitting (I’m still a beginner at both) and periods where I’m not into them. I just started a new crochet project and at first forgot which side to hold the needle in (I do some things lefty and some things righty so that can sometimes make it confusing). We also still have a lot of my great aunt’s yarn and plastic canvas and just went through it recently. I kept a few canvas project sheets from her various magazines that i might try someday. I’ve made. few plastic canvas projects here and there.
Same here - I generally make about 1 crochet project every winter (and I definitely have to refresh my memory on stitches from time to time 😅) My yarn/plastic canvas was “inherited” from family members too - I think I’ve only bought new yarn twice in my whole life. What kinds of things did you make? My sister made tissue box covers and coasters last year during quarantine, and I have a bunch of Barbie furniture that my mom made with plastic canvas when I was younger.

I have a ton of yarn (two huge buckets/totes full) left from my Great Grandma when she passed because she knitted and crocheted. Me and my mom want to learn but for now I can do things like this 💗
I’m sorry to hear about your Great Grandma, it’s always tough losing a family member. I’m sure she’d be happy to know that you found a way to use some of it! 💜 (That’s how I “inherited” most of my yarn, it’s one of those things that I’ll probably never have to buy 😅)
I love plastic canvas. =) Great projects. =) I’ve never tried a punch needle. Your butterfly came out great, it was worth all the redos. =) OOOh, I love the wall art canvas idea! =) The last thing I made with yarn was a simple Macrame style ghost. (For Hallowe’en).

Fantastic idea!! I made a really cute Rainbow wall hanging out of yarn a few weeks ago for my TH-cam channel and now I have a ton of yarn left I’d like to use it on something. I came across your video looking for ideas and I’m inspired by you. Thank you for teaching me a new idea. I’d love it if we can learn more from each other! 🥸
Thank you! I made them using Shrinky Dinks - I just sketched out the design, traced over it with a paint pen, cut them out, baked them, and glued earring posts to the back with UV resin (you could also use super glue instead)
This video is so helpful! I havea bunch of yarn from my failed attempt at learning to crochet 😅 could you possibly do a video on things to do with stickers? I have SO many but never anything to do with them! Loved the video as always :)

My cousin made freeze pop holders so when u r eating them your not cold she also made a ton of other things but that was my favorite
