    Most all time I just catch it lol, BUT… I’ve gotten stuck on more than a few occasions so I love the high line to pull back up. Thank you and I can’t wait to try it Dan. Have a good day

    Enjoyed the video. The first was the best. Attaching a throw line (or the end of your climb line if long enough) above the saver allow pulling up if your stuck pulling down. Good video.

    Dan Holiday. I never got into friction savers. I tried a couple times but they can be such a hassle. In fact, the only reason I used them for a min was to create a false crotch on a bare stem. I just let my rope run over limbs. I've found it doesn't mess up my rope in any substantial way. Thanks for the video Dan Holiday! 🤠 Do something wild cowboy.

    Dan, I think you have a Master's Degree in Throw Lines & Friction Savers.
    This is a really great vid!

    Small oval screw up things like a mallion rapide, from the ironmongers part of most hardware stores are great for retrieval, works great with splice eyes and no risk of throwline wear on the climbing line.

    Good vid. For the first technique though, since you have to return to the friction saver anyway, why not just remove the friction saver and descend without it installed? That's what I generally do. It's hardly going to be an issue for either the tree's cambium or save you any effort for a one off final descent to the ground.

    I was wondering Dan if u could do a video on the Dan House conduit style friction saver? I like to use them in a girth hitch configuration when there's just a single branch with no union like a pine tree. 😮

      @ClimbingArborist  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We don’t have that friction saver unfortunately

      @@ClimbingArborist I view that as being an item that u either use once & leave up in a 🌳 to return to later by tieing it into the 🌳 with paracord. Only way I can see it working out
