No, the job market is absolutely not ok in the US. There are a lot of postings, but 100x applicants for every role. It’s all supply vs demand. As layoffs roll along, it is just getting worse. I don’t think it’s going to get better until the Fed lowers interest rates and then companies begin investing again. So it is going to be really bad for the rest of 2024.
