You know these places may not be ideal but I gotta say you're being very open minded and have a pretty good positive outlook. The glass is half full type a person. Good luck on your search!
Learned something from TPL once again…improved my vocabulary. I am a bookworm & lover of language, so I thought I would agree with OP & warn Michael to refrain from using homely to describe a friend’s home, as I knew its definition as “ugly/unattractive”. But, I decided to check the dictionary, & lo & behold! we are all correct! North Americans (I think that means mostly USA) tend to use homely to refer to people , meaning ugly. But the British form is more often used for environments, & means “simple, cozy, welcoming…”. & Michael is Canadian so…makes sense. But M just be aware we your American viewers may hear “ugly”. 🙂 🇬🇧🏴🏴🇺🇸🗽🇨🇦🍁
I was living just outside of Dumaguete And thought I wanted to live on the beach. A House came up on Facebook for 28000 a month I went there and grabbed it. It was too small, even though it was a very nice place, much nicer than the places you are looking at. I went snorkeling almost every day, but it was hot there. UV levels in the Philippines right now are at 11 which is extremely dangerous from 10 o’clock in the morning till 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Living on the beach is not all that it’s cracked up to be. I moved to the mountains of Valencia where the temperature is much cooler and you don’t need air conditioning life There is much better than it was on the beach, you can contact real estate agents and have them call you first when A place comes available.

Hey Mike, my thoughts: don’t compromise the dream of being in the beach. Your 1 step closer as u cross these ones off. Chin up and persevere in your dreams, your no quitter 😁.
Pool is a plus always but to share something with others not good unless you go rent free that month..plus you can travel anywhere for the time..but me no thanks..😊nicely done,,thanks for sharing,,😊
I liked the house with the pool. you have your privacy, but those cameras, makes me a little nervous. keep looking, what you're looking for will come across when you least expect it. 👍
Flipino homes generally lack maintenance. Many fall into disrepair and its a shame considering that some of these spacious houses are located in a wonderful location.
Keep looking Brother… You will find the right one and when you do it will be worth the wait! Thanks again for all of your amazing vlogs. I truly appreciate the hard work you put into them!
The second home, while magnificent, I can understand why it wouldn't work for you. You work hard and need a quiet space to edit and unwind. I'm intrigued by the possibility of meeting lots of people, but that city isn't in my top 3. If it was a great price for a monthly rental, it would be tempting.
Hi Michael I would keep looking. The house on the beach the smell of dried fish is not good. I have been down that part of the beach. The other house the cameras would freak me out and no privacy. Wish you good luck
I think its better for now to look for an apartment along Arnaldo Blvd. within a year id u really can't find one along the beach...that island is Barangay Olotayan(Olotayan island)...nice white sand beach with a small community.
Once you said what they wanted the place is a no go..keep looking,,some of these people are just trying to be to ambitious for money and really don’t care about your needs,,hotel room…😮take care..
What youlll find with a lot this provinces the houses on the beach are the prominate families that have money or work in manila and go home so finding a lot on the beach is so hard in most areas that are improving.
maybe look into the smallest property cut and build a nice comfy tiny home or small home buddy! we have some good home builders there that can help you. Then if you move you can AirBB it
Check out solina beach and nature resort in estancia. And looks like the best option caza lyang in Concepcion that one looks like it would be nice to check out regardless.
Just noticed, why they even tied that puppy under the heat. So cruel! And it looks like no privacy there. With all cctvs, The owner will just keep watching all your moves. The yellow house is ok but i dont think there’s a privacy if the owner comes back and with guests.
All I can think is that puppy needs more freedom. What is the point of a puppy if it's going to spend his life tied to a tree? Nice place, but like others have said, the privacy issue.. The second house is great, but there are always buts.. ;-) You'll find the right one!
Seems like it’s tough to find a place people aren’t living in. Which doesn’t really work well for you. You are like me you like your privacy. You don’t want to live in a boarding house. Another option would be to rent a room at a nice hotel with space they do affordable monthly rental options in most of them. Some hotels have those large rooms with a kitchenette and a sala and a few bedrooms. Honestly I barely use my stove I use an air fryer a griddle and a rice cooker for most my cooking, all counter top utilities.
Why continue to punish yourself?? Look for a condo near the beach Sir.. You have all the luxury of a view, pool, gym ,and security right on or near the beach. No need for a big house for a single guy.. Get a 2 bedroom and make 1 bedroom your studio if you have enough money.. Plus your electric bill will be cheaper in a condo.. NOT LIKE THE TERMITE HOUSE ELECTRIC BILL.. Hope you don't have to relive that. It wiould be expensive trying to air condition those big places.
True but Michael wants space and if he settles he will need space for his Mom, brother and his New Sister to visit! And why not get what you want after hard work and re starting your roots. @ThatPhilipinesLife. PS- his new sister is me. lol. ❤
The yellow house has too much clutter....it would drive me crazy every time I would walk into it. Now, if the rich owner is single and cute....you could kill two birds with one stone!!!😅..And never have to pay rent again😅😅
A puppy tied to a tree on a short leash is cruelty.. Yelping all day long.. Really. No thank you No security in either place.. Prepare to be the foreigner that got robbed. They will get you good.

The only reason I watched the entire video is to see just how bad the living conditions are. Dude, I like your videos, but you really need to find a place by yourself. You're a little old to have strangers for roommates living in dilapidated conditions.
Go rent a new condo in Mega World Iloilo is a much better location for you then that run down house it will be a night mare in the long run for you concentrate on your you tube channel stop dreaming about mansions on the beach
What happened to your sunglasses? These places are just too big and it comes with a rare roommate. I don't like it. More examples of weird Philippines construction. Yep, CCTV is too weird. What you need is a nice efficient small place. Emmanuel by the sea was very very nice. Don't rent a room.
Don't understand what's the point having a dirty kitchen beside your regular kitchen a good exhaust fan would work in the regular kitchen in the second house
Yea they wanted many months up front and wanted it back within 12 months so It wasn't worth the costs and months I'd spend fixing it up just to hand it back to them so soon

Not bad, needs some TLC but if the price is right...

Condo on the beach as Plan B. Then look again over time for that beach house.
Not that I'm a big fan of living in can-do personally but there are no condos here in Roxas near the beach

Solina is in Carles not Estancia. Unless they have a new branch there.
