The Departmental Retreat was an odd place. Any department employee was entitled to book a certain amount of time there each year, with seniority determining schedule choice priority. It didn’t matter, actually-even in the middle of winter, on a random Wednesday, the Retreat was a profoundly restorative well of suspended contemplation and light. But the people you saw there-they were always fellow staff, of course. Never any families, or children, or even adolescents, and no elderly. People who used the same computers and keycards and phones as you, who parked in the same underground multilevel lot, ate from the same breakroom vending machines in the middle of the night. Lounging there, floating in echoes, you would feel like the most relaxed and weightless drone it was possible to be.
That's just what some people like, and others like the way it feels. Obviously there's lots of reasons but that's just a couple, also if you read the about section on the channel you might understand hope it helps. Happy new year 🎊🎊🎊🎊
@@THEMANWITHTHEYELLOWHAT. Oh I get it, it's that kind of "industrial brutalism", I just saw the tittle without context and it reads so weird "brutalist ambient" is confusing to say the least. thanks and same to you friend
The title is talking about the architecture. So this is what google says about brutalist architecture: "It's characterized by its use of raw materials, angular shapes, and a monochrome color palette." Thats basically what the picture embodies, with the shape of the building being very geometric and plain in colors. In a way, i find it coupled with the music somewhat relaxing and futuristic.
The name of the channel also seems to suggest the ambient music comes from a futuristic background. At least thats my interpretation. I don't know. Eithet way, i'm here for it
Oh and then there is the video description!: "this channel is dedicated to conceptual ambient music, especially calm and static chord structures. we try to set an associative atmosphere by using thematic visuals, such as brutalism and industrialism with a futuristic and post apocalyptic expression. this music is designed to provide comfort and relaxation. we hope you enjoy it!" As expected!
Chilling here on a new years day, relaxing 😌
На расслабоне, на чиле
Nice❤
