This design made me think of Roy's Dianne's Rose. Shots of several of my other favorites are here too. I've been thinking about one with with a watertight compartment fore or aft that would serve as a locker for a pair of folding bikes, preferably electric pedal-assist. These would multiply your wandering radius ashore. I often see bikes or even mopeds or scooters attached haphazardly and think a neater solution is in order. Cheers, looking forward to the build.
I want to make my own shanty boat that I can fish for salmon and hunt duck with.
I kayak to Spencer island and dream of living on the river and sound as I pass the boats on the slough.
Is there a group or a place I can go to learn how to build my own shanty boat?

Thanks for the resource Brian_ love your website. Our first boat will be 8x25 _ getting ready to build for vacations and trips. This will give us the experience to design/build one to live aboard full time, bigger than a standard Shantyboat _ about 50x20 two story with all the comforts and all Solar _ not minimalist at all but still fully self sufficient.
