@Dewi Lew : NOT because he was pedaling, for he wasn't, just holding himself up on his legs. We always do that when walking, etc., but it clearly was more demanding in this case, just that it wasn't at all due to pedaling.
For all the people commenting on their achievements. Most of what you all describe is a wheelie. This is a manual. Also.... for the record to be a valid one you cant pedal past the start line. And it has to be 100% flat surface. So basically it is a war against gravity, friction, wind resistance, and muscle endurance. I have covered longer distances too on a manual going downslope or an small incline: -> Doesnt count.
Fix the title: there is a difference between a wheelie and a manual. I realize not as many may click if they see manual, but as a news source accuracy should be a priority. Most will still see the thumbnail and look to see what's up.
Yes, the trick performed in the video is a ‘manual’, which is significantly more difficult than a ‘wheelie’ especially when it comes to doing it for long distances.
What I find surprising about this is that this young guy wasn't pedaling. How can you move a bike without pedalling, unless you're walking the bike or carrying it with a motor vehicle, f.e.? Was this young guy on a slope, rather than on a FLAT driving surface? Give a good push to a bike without anyone on it, just letting it go on its own, and it won't travel far before slowing and falling over. But, with this video, I watched the guy's legs, esp. feet and the pedals, and didn't notice any real pedaling.
No pedaling because this is a "manual" record. Which is much more difficult. With pedaling you can wheelie until you collapse. The pedal-wheelie record is over 11 hours.
I did all of Haig road in belleville ontario on a chrome haro back when i was around his age. i was pedaling tho and it took like 5 minutes. mine was way way way longer than that. I never once thought to call guiness :P
Seeing comments that this is a manual not a wheelie. Can someone explain what the difference is? Not a bike aficionado...weird TH-cam logarithm suggestion. Lol
Hate to be "that guy".. but why is he allowed to be outside? All of Canada is on lockdown. There is kids being denied to go on toboggans , ski hills closed, hell Quebec is on a curfew... way to report the real news cbc... keep up the stellar work for the Liebrals
My quads are hurting just watching this. Respect. ✊🏽

I was heading down in the comments to write the same thing, well said sir.
Everyone who knows bikes knows what it is. But I do want to see a 700 foot wheelie anyway.
Forget the 700 foot wheelie. An Italian guy did 30km.
a manual is a subcategory of wheelie so all manuals are wheelies but not all wheelies are manuals
Whats the difference? I noticed he isn't peddling, does that make it a manual?
That’s not a wheelie. It’s a manual. Fantastic effort!!!

manual is a sub category of wheelie
Very impressive, I liked the format of the video as well with the whole manual running in half and the other footage next to it. Worked well.
You go man. Keep up the sweet riding. Love his passion and work ethic. Very humble.
well best of luck to him, i'm from canada i would be happy if he makes it to the olympics
that's a manual
Great job. Thanks for sharing.
Nice job Max.
I saw this dude at a pump track
Congrates!
Fantastic young man
Live your dream
bmx guy 2021 : hey man, its a manual
guy who invented bmx racing : yeah whatever , nice wheelie
The manual was originally known as a wheelie. When you pedal it's called a catwalk.
Keep it up ⭐️Bless you🙏🏻
At least some Canadian youth are up to some good!
Good job
smooth bearings
Your Awesome!!
But can he do Hell Track!
Cru Jones is Rad!
Longest manual*
@@speez6106 You aren't allowed to pedal for a Manual.
awesome
I didn’t know this was even a thing I just applied I’ve done half a mile before just for shits and giggles with the homies😂
dude, fuxk yea 🤌
There's like zero friction... Wth
@JJ or a slight downhill
Brandy Ellis wouldn’t that kinda be cheating?
@@brandonb9452 Absolutely not downhill. That would invalidate the record.
@JJ ohh true. Also I thought I heard 600 meters, which is 1800 feet for Americans
Awesome 👍👍😎
bruh hope to see ya in future x games

Manual, not wheelie
